  2. that's the one! I'm a sucker for event specific posters.
  3. I managed to sneak out of night one without any merchandise. I was proud of myself. Then, I get an email from the Stones and all the sudden I've dropped $50 on a gig poster. That price is pretty impressive especially compared to the signed Minus 5 poster I picked up at their show for $15 two days later.
  4. Thanks bbop! That is such an odd lineup, but oddly, I would have loved all three I'm sure. Guilty pleasures (all or just the bread in this odd wilco sandwich?).
  5. No Kansas !? They've haven't played the ruby slipper state in 11 years!!!!
  6. I thought the poster was referencing the band and their management fwiw
  7. More pressure for the karaoke folks!
  8. yes and strange that those names came up but not Buddy Guy, Chess Records, Howlin' Wolf, the Double Door, the Aragon etc.
  9. It was a great night! I thought Mick, Charlie and, in particular Ronnie, were great. I'm a Keith guy. He had a terrible night playing wise and looked terrible. Hope it was just a one night thing. Calvino - the songs you chose as highlights - so interesting! The deepest cuts of the night. Mick Jagger commenting on Ed Burke - what?
  10. They played albums that were 22 and 16 years old straight through at SS, they sell merch based around their most well known album, setlists on recent tours were heavily concentrated on material from their 2 best known albums with new material mixed in dismissing about a decade's worth of newer music, they don't play developing markets anymore - just the places where they can make money, they reissue deluxe versions of their albums. Also, as seen previously in this thread their fans would rather hear their old songs rather than their new ones. That's off the top of my head.
  11. I'm not so sure about that any more.
  12. Yeah, that I'm a Wheel (tea kettle) scream wasn't the best.
  13. I get what you are trying to say but I don't agree - they are pricing most people out of their show by setting a $750 ticket price. There are people like me who would pull that seat for $100 or even $150 and not think about selling it because sitting in the first row to see Wilco is amazing. I wouldn't resell it. I don't buy that the band doesn't have input into the pricing. Jeff has mentioned in past interview their decision to move from $30 tickets to $50.
  14. Really disappointing to see Wilco doing ticketing the way they are on the upcoming US tour. Agreeing to sell "Official Platinum" seats at Radio City for $750 isn't the way this band used to operate. Maybe I'm the only one bummed by this?
  15. Yes. Although she was never on the bill for the festival. Basically happened, I think, because she is Kevin Morby's gf.
  16. Yes - they did say they are offering that which is really generous.
  17. Looks like it will be available online too thought, right? Confused by that only at Solid Sound statement.
  18. blasphemy here, I don't feel that way about Wilco. To me Wilco has two gems in Cars Can't Escape and Magazine, but it falls off from there. Springsteen and Petty non album/b sides are great.
  19. Thanks for playing the game
  20. Just a few hours until Wilco hits the stage for the first time in over a year and a half. What will the first song be? Guesses? I'd go with Misunderstood.
  21. Given Jeff's August solo (or TWEEDY? looks like it is back to solo?) show in Evanston they likely can't announce anything until after that and midwest isn't on the docket at this point.
  22. I'm cool with there being no shows near me for now. They are obviously doing Midwest/West another time. Can't be everywhere always. I also think the password for these presales is interesting: Casino Queen. Not referencing a new album. In fact referencing their oldest material.
  23. They usually announce on Tuesdays with presales on Wednesday, so are you/we saying tour dates today??
