  1. Wilcoworld Radio: Solid Sound will be held the last weekend of June, 2019.
  2. Milwaukeans (do they call themselves that?) might find the West Coast tag questionable? Interesting onsale time of 7PM - never seen that before.
  3. Byrne's 3rd Chicago show this past Sunday was fantastic. I really encourage everyone to go.
  4. Ted Leo tonight and Byrne on Sunday!!
  5. He seems to be all over the country all the time - it is bizarre that he skips Boston. Not sure how he finds time to do it all...
  6. I should give him another shot. I've seen him twice in the last six months. I love the last 2-3 albums - not as familiar with previous material. beefs: 1) You can't see him play the guitar - he sets himself up on stage so that his guitar playing is done towards the other side of the stage/drummer. He's an amazing guitar player- I want to see that. 2) The setlist has no flow. I should give him another shot.
  7. Too many times. Thankfully it mostly works the other way where a great live performance turns me on to the band. Live performances turned me off: Spoon - about 10 years ago based on 2 boring performance. Finally gave them a chance again last year and it was wonderful. The XX Red Hot Chili Peppers Ty Segall Kurt Vile San Fermin Chris Robinson Brotherhood Big Thief
  8. In this (Finland) article (which Glenn retweeted), Glenn told the reporter that Wilco recording will commence when he returns in the fall: https://www.hs.fi/kulttuuri/art-2000005681247.html
  9. As the Crow Flies last night in Chicago: It was a really fun experience. I saw the Crowes over 20 times and have seen NEM, CRB, & Magpie - I've never seen Chris 'bring it' like he did last night. The first 4-5 songs were just on and had so much energy. Chris' vocals were on. It was a fun setlist with few surprises with the exception of the choice covers. I'm really glad I went. Marcus King was a real treat on guitar. Audley and Andy did a nice job individually. The CRB holdovers I could do without. The band is clearly thrown together and has 0 Chemistry on a 0 - 100 scale. That was a bum
  10. That picture is great and that setlist looks fantastic. Jealous of all those that got to see it.
  11. This is my favorite post on VC in a long while. Glad it was a great show and experience.
  12. Yes! Or...Bruce Springsteen style Broadway adaptation...
  13. Or both read and listen? I just listened to the Springsteen bio and it was great to hear it from his voice.
  14. Caught the Chicago show where they mentioned that Jeff Tweedy encouraged them to cover Sweet and Tender Romance which is in the setlist. Also saw that John Stirratt caught a show on the tour - so it is safe to say they still have Wilco influences going on even without sharing management.
  15. Nice to see the hat bringing in the $ - currently at $1405 w/ just over two days to go. Same foundation/cause is now auctioning off 3 more Wilco related items: signed framed band photo, signed Sukierae vinyl by Spencer & Jeff, signed Schmilco signed by Jeff.
  16. Scott just announced a residency in Portland for April. He's getting back to it...
  17. Love the FAQ for curveball so much...
  18. Jealous of going way back with PJ. Smallest venue you saw them??
  19. Holy sh*t. I think even Congress would do something about mandating waiting periods for pulling triggers on those tickets... This from a Poison fan back in the day...
  20. The bio for Jeff on the ticketing page for the Camp Greensky Music festival is VERY VERY odd. American songwriter, musician and poet, born August 25, 1967 in Belleville, Illinois, USA. Father of Spencer Tweedy. https://www.ticketfly.com/event/1649491-camp-greensky-wellston/
  21. Nice. I think United Center is preferable to Lollapalooza at least. The schedule seems to have space for a second show at United Center, right? My schedule would work way better for a show on the 8th...
