  3. Two Seattle shows at Safeco this summer - expecting to attract 100,000 concert goers and raise $10,000,000 for Seattle's homeless. Pretty impressive. https://pearljam.com/news/the-home-shows Pearl Jam is pledging a minimum of $1 million toward local homelessness initiatives. They challenge everyone to join them -- with the goal of raising a minimum of $10 million pledged toward addressing homelessness in 2018.The band is researching a wide range of programs to address Seattle-area homelessness in varied ways with a plan to announce specific beneficiaries closer to the show dates.
  4. Not surprised to see him doing this. I fully support it too. PLEASE NOTE: this is a PHONE-FREE show. No photos, video or audio recording devices allowed. We think you’ll enjoy looking up from your gadgets for a little while and experience music and our shared love of it IN PERSON. Upon arrival at the venue, all phones and other photo or video-capturing gizmos will be secured in a Yondr pouch that will be unlocked at the end of the show. You keep your pouch-secured phone on you during the show and, if needed, can unlock your phone at any time in a designated Yondr Phone Zone located in the
  5. Great to see the news yesterday that Steve Gorman and Steve Hyden are collaborating on a Crowes biography. I'm sure there are going to be some amazing stories in there.
  6. Pat is playing at the Basement East in Nashville tonight. Part of a tribute show to Grant Hart and others who died in 2017.
  7. Glad to see there is still a Wilco connection to Lucius even after their management split. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/lucius-ready-new-acoustic-lp-nudes-features-roger-waters-w515645 I'm looking forward to the album and the acoustic tour.
  8. Ha - Let's just say a hologram was to appear. What era Jeff Tweedy would you want the hologram to represent (thinking about the US Stamp debate on later vs early era Elvis)?!!
  9. Happy to see the tour news. He had said after the last tour that he was going to have to figure out how to make touring pleasant - glad he's giving it another shot. Wish there was a Chicago show - clearly he's doing Lolla (again), but I'd rather see him in a non-festival setting...

  11. He sold out Thalia. I can't figure out why the band name would be spelled Crow instead of Crowe!!!!!
  12. I left a Magpie show in the middle of the encore. Not that impressive. Too much filler.
  13. Its on. Audley Freed on guitar. Andy Hess (played with Crowes for about a year?) on bass. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/features/chris-robinson-on-reviving-black-crowes-songs-new-band-w515202

  16. Guided by Voices tonight. Last time they played this venue (Empty Bottle 2001) The Strokes were openers.
  17. I was going to ask how that one sounded. Only the 10th time he's played it solo (if setlist.fm is to be trusted) in public.
  18. On the third day of Christmas my Wilcos gave to me: Three God shaped holes Two intertwined IG guitars And a blinking macrame owl onstage
  19. I thought they did a lot of press for the Out of Time re-issue too...
  20. Even though you caught it from me?

  24. I was there. It is hard to 'review' a show without songs/words! Jeff came out in his J Mascis look and two 5 feet tall Marshall amps. Chris beat on the drums strategically and with force. Darren played seated and I think at one point was using a brush on a colander on top of the guitar strings?? It was great to see some shredding. Darren give his 'hat bow' before and after the show. They took a 30 second breather about halfway through a 45 minute performance. Spencer, Elkington and Liam Cunningham in the audience. Was wondering if we would get "Low Key" as an encore (kidding).
