  1. So....scared to ask this, but....how many songs will Wilco repeat between the two sets at SS? 15??
  2. Agree with this. There were 13 repeats over the 1st two night's at last year's San Fran run. This is reality with the band these days. They are playing to bigger crowds who are paying more and seeing Wilco less and want to see the "hits". The fact that Wilco has been off the road and all live primarily in different states these days can't help...
  3. Not exactly a show, but John and Pat are going to be at The Virgin Hotel after the show Saturday as part of The "Wilco vs Wild Belle" Vinyl DJ Battle.
  4. Are you sure? Those private Jeff Tweedy shows are going for a pretty penny these days...
  5. He'll have the catalog at the festival with the most radio hits: Love Stinks, Must of Got Lost, Centerfold (the latter he probably won't play).
  6. Venues have been announced for Big Ears Festival performances. Wilco at Tennessee Theatre Glenn Kotche at The Standard "Jeff Tweedy Meets Chickamorachi" at The Mill & Mine Cup (Nels Cline & Yuka C. Honda) at The Square Room Quindar at Bijou Theatre On Fillmore at The Standard
  7. They tweeted Solid Sound Festival ‏@SolidSoundFest 28m28 minutes agoMoreStay tuned tomorrow. There is also an image with the number 5 and a picture of John and somebody else I don't recognize...
  8. They are playing Lincoln Hall 5/19.
  9. Isn't Jay (and Billy Bragg) famous for using Jeff and the idea of a reunion in the media to get attention on himself and his new project? Seems like we hear these ideas every album cycle. I'd rather see Jeff focused on existing and new projects personally.
  10. Just Added: Nels March 31 - April 2 workshop. On Filmore April 8. Recently Added: Nels May 21 March 03: Glenn Kotche performing "Calling Glenn" with Danielle Agami/ ATE9 at Moore Theatre in Seattle, WA 09: Nels Cline at Boot & Saddle in Philadelphia, PA 10: Nels Cline Trio at Le Poison Rouge in New York, NY 11: Nels Cline at Nublu in New York, NY 25: Glenn Kotche at The Standard (Big Ears Festival) in Knoxville, TN 25: "Jeff Tweedy Meets Chickamorachi" at The Mill & Mine (Big Ears Festival) in Knoxville, TN 25: Cup (Nels Cline & Yuka C. 11. In other JS news: John Stirratt ‏@Oneanda3 16h 16 hours agoMoreStoked to play on this great debut EP by Chicago's @BittersweetDrv Prod by @NickTremulis1 EP is self titled...
  12. Nice. So Wilco, Tweedy, Autumn Defense, Quindar, Cup and Kotche performances. Got all the Wilco's covered!!
  13. I think I'm hitting the Cate Le Bon show tonight...
  14. If you truly aren't going to use the car once you arrive in Chicago I would recommend parking it in a neighborhood on the street for free. PM for more details about parking my street if you'd like. I live 2 miles from the theater right off public transit.
  15. The Willie Dixon Blues Heaven is nice but not amazing. I'd recommend it to Chicago area music fans, but with limited time it isn't a must see. As far as music sites, the Chicago Theater offers tours. The Green Mill might be a nice spot if you have an evening free. It is close to Wilco's most played venue: The Riviera. Buddy Guys could be a good lunch spot (I've never eaten there and can't vouch for the food). Late night Blues at The Kingston Mines. There is a "going to Chicago" thread in Tongue Tied Lightning. Other than music related, my favorite indoor activities: Art Institute of Chic
  16. If setlist.fm is to be believed the 13th show will tie the Dead's # of of MSG shows. Kinda interesting...
  17. Do we think these songs are all really old ones? Maybe there are some modern songs in there too? I'd love to hear his studio take on CA Stars or theh Stripes' Ball & Biscuit (which he and Jack did in the 00's).
  18. Except that they did in 2008. I didn't like the album, but I went to one of the shows (at Metro) and it was a nostalgic blast.
  19. Big fan in the 90's. I actually don't think Soup holds up all that well. I'm still a fan of the self titled album.
  20. Nice. As TM5 kicked off their set w "The Night Chicago Died..." Friday and dedicating it to Lounge Axe I was wondering if any friends would be around...
  21. Thanks so much for posting! Just reserved. Much better location than what I had previously!
  22. LH would have been a much better venue for this line-up. It is hard to get into the performance seated at a restaurant styled table...
