  1. Recent? Dude - that song is 12 years old! It's so bad too!
  2. Superchunk's new album is confirmed and is coming out in February - Mack was on Steve Hyden's podcast talking about it this week.
  3. These are great: Allvays - Antisocialites The War on Drugs - A Deeper Understanding The Regrettes - Feel Your Feelings Fool Ty Segall - S/T Kevin Morby - City Music Japanese Breakfast - Soft Sounds From Another Planet Big Thief - Capacity Rips - S/T Drive By Truckers - American Band
  4. I thought the show was pretty great. 2 sets each about 45 minutes. Nels played the final 10 minutes with 5 strings. The musicians had great chemistry - lots of space given to each while at the same time collaborating and getting into a great grooves/runs frequently. Nels actually screamed in excitement at one point in the second set. Larry Ochs had a big grin on his face a couple times between notes as he was taking in his band-mates' performance. Glenn Kotche, Bbop and LouieB in the audience too.

    A.M. Deluxe?

Piss it Away = Let's Not Get Carried Away? Has this been discussed?
  6. Heck yeah! Loved their first album. Hope they do something. Haven't heard anything though.
  7. I'm heading to the Friday Chicago show too. Went for the old fogie seated balcony option...
  8. Nick Offerman has shows at the Chicago Theater this weekend and is mentioning Jeff Tweedy in tweets. Maybe they'll debut songs from Nick's recent audio book? Has anybody heard those songs btw? Any good?
  9. Great to hear this interview. Interesting to think about what AM and the trajectory of the band might have been if they hadn't felt like they had to rush to get AM recorded and published to ensure not getting dropped by their label. Really nice to hear the compliments of Max and Brian too - John saying that Brian's guitar playing makes the album for him is quite a compliment. On a similar note, interesting that they didn't touch on the changing lineup between the albums and what effect (if any) that (Jay joining) had.
  10. Mindhunters is good! Need to find time to finish it out, but first 4 eps were great.
  11. Courtney Barnett doesn't have any tour dates scheduled in 2019. Maybe she'll be on the bill? That would be awesome!

  13. Done. And...they passed their $50K goal already which is awesome.
  14. Hoping to get there at least in time for Car Horns...and hoping I can get in at that point...
  15. Oh man...wasn't he just taking shots at Rich and Marc for touring on the back of the Crowes brand?
  16. RIP Malcolm. While we knew this was coming, it is sad. His songs are some of my favorites going way back.
  17. Terrible news. I'm pretty shocked and upset about this one. "The road to recovery will be a long one" and "with the love and support of all of you, Scott will continue to share his love of music with the world" - from his wife's statement. He has my love and support...
  18. Ok I'm now predicting Elkington as more likely to "replace" Nels than Spencer "replacing" Glenn...
  19. I thought it was interesting that the host spoke about the "firing" of Jay Bennett while Jeff referred to it as Jay "leaving the band" - and interesting that Jeff touched on Jay B's substance abuse too.
  20. I caught the first show backed by Tweedy. They played for roughly an hour. They did 18 songs. It was great.
