  1. I think it was the first full fledged show since early 2000 without a song from Yankee in the setlist.
  2. Deep Sea Diver was my favorite. I wasn't disappointed by anybody though.
  3. Exactly my feelings on all three. Kurt will be a great dinner break for my wife and I.
  4. I'm going. I'm Jeff. 3rd Solid Sound. I go every other Solid Sound. Last time on a golden ticket (profile pic).
  5. I saw them a couple times...once opening the famous last Jay show Wilco show...they were always good. Better than the one hit wonder as they get remembered for.
  6. Great reviews. Looks like a nice set. I was wondering how Jeff was juggling the music and lyrics of Wilco with Tweedy in the middle of a Wilco tour...
  7. The prior posts hit the nail on the head. It was a solid show at a great, smaller, outdoor venue. My 69th Wilco show now across 32 US states. If I lived in the area I would definitely check out a lot of shows there. Only drawback is/was the terrible beer selection. When there are only choices, High Life, Coors Light and Coors banquet should not all be offered. But...my friend and I were there for the music and Wilco delivered. They pretty much loosened up around the time Jeff thanked the crowd for hanging in there. I hadn't looked at setlists on this leg of the tour yet and was surprised wh

  9. Anxiously awaiting the schedule!! I wonder when they will release it??
  10. Yeah! Flash back to 10 years ago. He's a funny guy.
  11. Section 1 Row D (4th row Nels side). I bought a single and won't be using it. Let me know if you want it.

  13. Is it time to start the campaign for them to invite Ken and Max (and Jessy, Greg, Bob, Jerry, Gary, Larry and Dan) to sit in on a song or two?

Welcome to the que. I'm in it too at # 242! The que isn't moving up too fast...
  15. I bet we see a little more Being There than normal in the set at June shows leading up to Solid Sound if it wins the vote on Monday. That could be fun. I also wonder what stage set they will have at these shows. I don't think we've seen the foliage set outdoors yet...
  16. Oh man. Wish you were coming this year. Would have been good to catch up.
  17. So the Steven Hyden "interview" was great because Steve just took over and started telling stories. That intro was really painful to hear. I can't figure out why he does an intro and then repeats everything throughout the interview. And why does he say the word "band" so much. I guess I should post this in a Steven Hyden thread...
  18. Thanks for the tip. I'll give that a listen. I love Steve Hyden's writing. The podcast is really sloppy. I kinda decided to bail on it even though I love the subjects. I'll check back in for this one.
  19. Nels is so great on What's So Funny.

  21. John Stirratt made an unbilled (but hinted at) appearance in Boston last night at the Paradise for Hot Stove Cool Music. That's the rock show that benefits Theo Epstein's A Foundation to be Named Later. Last night's show was headlined by Eddie Vedder. John backed Eddie up on Aerosmith's Draw The Line. John performed at the same event at Metro in Chicago a few years ago.
  22. 15 studio albums must include Wilco/Uncle Tupelo/Tweedy albums but leave out Mermaid Aves, Golden Smog, Loose Fur. Seems like they should have included Loose Fur but why put a number on it anyway.
