I think I'm hitting the Cate Le Bon show tonight...

If you truly aren't going to use the car once you arrive in Chicago I would recommend parking it in a neighborhood on the street for free. PM for more details about parking my street if you'd like. I live 2 miles from the theater right off public transit.

The Willie Dixon Blues Heaven is nice but not amazing. I'd recommend it to Chicago area music fans, but with limited time it isn't a must see. As far as music sites, the Chicago Theater offers tours. The Green Mill might be a nice spot if you have an evening free. It is close to Wilco's most played venue: The Riviera. Buddy Guys could be a good lunch spot (I've never eaten there and can't vouch for the food). Late night Blues at The Kingston Mines. There is a "going to Chicago" thread in Tongue Tied Lightning. Other than music related, my favorite indoor activities: Art Institute of Chic

Wow! Phish announce a 13 show run at MSG for this summer!
nalafej replied to remphish1's topic in Someone Else's Song
If setlist.fm is to be believed the 13th show will tie the Dead's # of of MSG shows. Kinda interesting... -
Do we think these songs are all really old ones? Maybe there are some modern songs in there too? I'd love to hear his studio take on CA Stars or theh Stripes' Ball & Biscuit (which he and Jack did in the 00's).

Except that they did in 2008. I didn't like the album, but I went to one of the shows (at Metro) and it was a nostalgic blast.

Big fan in the 90's. I actually don't think Soup holds up all that well. I'm still a fan of the self titled album.

Nice. As TM5 kicked off their set w "The Night Chicago Died..." Friday and dedicating it to Lounge Axe I was wondering if any friends would be around...
-
Thanks so much for posting! Just reserved. Much better location than what I had previously!
-
LH would have been a much better venue for this line-up. It is hard to get into the performance seated at a restaurant styled table...
-
haha. Its a true story, right?

I enjoyed the show last night. Have fun.

Ugly Kid Joe: Cat's in the Cradle just remembered that one. ridiculous!

They won't be on the same stage though, right? Could be a good thing...

The second to last episode with the narration was odd but cool. The last episode seemed to go on forever with closing everything out and was a bit slow in pace compared to all the other episodes. So...not my favorite of the 10 episodes, but way better than your average tv show for sure. Hoping for a great season 3 soon.

I figured we had a Jeff Tweedy, Producer thread.. John produced and played on an album of Tom Irwin. I think the Autumn Defense's drummer played on it too? kickstarter here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tomirwin/all-that-love-songs-by-tom-irwin-produced-by-john

Binging on Fargo lately. Can't decide if season 1 is better than season 2 or not. Of course, I have 3 more episodes to go...

Going to Chicago....what to do, see, stay, etc.
nalafej replied to LouieB's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Reckless does still have the downtown location - and it's in the Loop. It is much much smaller than the other two locations though. -
It will be on facebook live. I think this is a link that will work: https://cdn.crowdrise.com/Love-a-Thon?utm_source=crm&utm_content=WatchNowButton

What are your Plans for Inauguration Day?

Funny but how many people don't know who the president is and care enough to ask? ha
