Indeed. A new On Fillmore album comes out in March! http://northernspyrecords.com/music/happiness-of-living/

I think you are thinking of Let's Not Get Carried Away which has the drum solo

I too had no idea and I've been loving that album. Especially Dust which has Jeff on guitar.

and Sunday with On Filmore.

Jeff produced and played on the upcoming Joan Shelly release. She opened for Wilco out West last year and is doing more dates with them this year. Seems like she's a lock for Solid Sound. Article in Brooklyn Vegan: http://www.brooklynvegan.com/joan-shelley-preps-jeff-tweedy-produced-lp-touring-with-wilco-richard-thompson-more/ Jeff's producer credits keep coming. Do we have a good running list of what he's worked on? What is his best work in this regard? Here is what I tracked down: You Are Not Alone - Mavis Staples 2010 Traphouse Rock - Kids These Days 2012 The Invisible Way - Low 201

Glenn performs I Am Trying to Break Your Heart from The Loft in this youtube video posted yesterday: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3paspn2oYw Thought it was cool enough to post here...

Wow - that was great. A must watch.

I'm trying to think of a single justification for this and coming up short. Anybody want to take a crack at it?

I concur on Fleabag. Great show. Wish there were more than 6 episodes!

I found out that The Minus 5 are opening or Alejandro Escovedo on the upcoming tour. Not such a big surprise since Scott produced AE's latest album, but I'm excited to see TM5 back in the live setting playing those songs. I got tickets for one of the Chicago shows...

I went to see Gimme Danger over the weekend. This is the documentary on Iggy and the Stooges. I would recommend to rock n' roll fans. The movie just focuses on that band. There is really no coverage on anybody's post Stooges career or their personal lives.

That seems worth it to see Wilco in a theater. Way cheaper than my Chicago Theatre tickets...

How much are day passes expected to be?

Happy 21st Birthday to Spencer. He has an EP out today. https://spencertweedy.bandcamp.com/album/geezer-love The title track sounds good to my ears.

I used to listen to that Vegas show. The amount of covers is kinda out of control, but it is a great great show for big fans.
-
I wonder if they continue to sell at a higher price or they temporarily halt sales? I've seen fests go both ways. I'm interested to see what the next price point is... Edit: Wilco just tweeted the answer here: up by $25 after tonight. I noticed Pitchfork early birds are $165. These early bird tickets are a pretty good deal.

I wish they'd go with somebody besides Lagunitas too. Their Heineken ownership turns me off. John is the Wilco beer snob, right? Lagunitas has had Lucius do stuff with them too. Lucius shares management with Wilco. https://lagunitas.com/artists/lucius

Looks like Lagunitas will be supplying beer at the fest: LAGUNITAS @lagunitasbeer 18h18 hours agoLAGUNITAS Retweeted Solid Sound Festival Can't wait to share a beer in June @SolidSoundFest! #SolidSound2017 More than their Wilco Tango Foxtrot? We'll see...

Ha. I didn't know about Big Star before the 70's show...so there you go.

He says as much in the Rollingstone article: ""The 40th anniversary kind of got in the way of that," he says. "I looked at the tour they booked and it was all big places. The Wildflowers tour will have to be in smaller places because it's just a lot of quiet and a lot of it is acoustic. It would be wrong to focus on one album for that tour." http://www.rollingstone.com/music/features/tom-petty-40th-anniversary-tour-might-be-last-big-one-w454754

I saw Joe Walsch open for Seger a few years ago. He makes a great opening act. Should be a good tour. As with the last few, Petty is saying that this may one of his last big jaunts.
