Dang. Wish I would have known that smart trick!

Wilco will be playing Pori, Finland on July 13. Announced today. Bill Frisell Trio is another performer. Believe Wilco has some connections to them through Nels? I love the artist bio they have up on their site too. This is a keeper: American band Wilco lead by singer-guitarist Jeff Tweedy will perform in Finland after several years as they play at Pori Jazz as a part of their European tour. For over two decades Wilco has been one of the most important and respected bands of alternative rock. Hailing from Chicago, the band began its career with alternative country but has since progresse

That is hilarious and awesome! -
SS tickets haven't sold out more than a week in advance in the past. Saturday is usually the day that ends up selling out. Plenty of time to buy tickets, but I bet they raise the price around New Years if not sooner.

I totally agree. Requiring those fields is obnoxious. Clearly they aren't smart (hence the math thing) and are going to use this to figure out how much to charge us for things in the future.

Ok, you all didn't like my 4,000 number. Is 2,000 the right number?

He hasn't walked back enough. It's really just the Lock Her Up that he's backed out of, right? He hasn't backed off climate change being not an issue or immigration.

I used to have Green Day's version on a workout mix. Perfect for that purpose anyway...

Bands that can draw more than 4,000 people on their own would be my guess as to the cut line.

Winning bid was $122! It's so great that Jeff can bring in that much for this charity. Almost $200K this year alone. -

I was thinking the same thing and Solid Sound gets you two full Wilco sets plus all the other amazing things...

It does look nice. It it hard to tell for sure whether Glenn will actually be performing at that event. Hopefully we find out more closer to June.

Jeff Tweedy appearance at 1:50/4:28 of this clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PUdnT5UFzk#action=share "Singing outside in a hot hot summer. she fell in love with the plumber, a union member plumber" LOL "I guess if we franchise someday...probably as good as I could do"

I literally just found out about the Quiet Riot covers from the previous posts! I had no idea. Van Halen's Kinks cover is definitely another one for me that somebody else mentioned. Guns N' Roses Spaghetti Incident cover album turned me onto the Stooges (Raw Power) and Johnny Thunders ("You Can't Put Your Arms Around a Memory")

Schmilco did not get nominated for a Grammy. I think that is the first Wilco album to not get nominated since Summerteeth. But, as Jeff used to say prior to winning one, "Fuck the Grammys"

Makes much more sense now!

They had a tour bus at their first gig? How did they pull that off (most bands start with a van)? I'm not familiar with their origins, was Warren famous before that band started?

If I Ever Was a Child made Rolling Stone Magazine's Singles of the year list coming in at #15. They are in very un-similar company.
