  4. ditto. these new songs are just not up to the great U2 catalog standard on the first 3 listens.
  5. How is the album? Saw that it is being sold at Mavis' shows...
  6. Courtney and Kurt It’s kind of spooky when you write it like that, isn’t it?
  7. The War on Drugs’ Time to Move On cover is pretty good. His harmonica playing > Susans
  8. It was You Don't Know How It Feels, right? I caught the first set and part of the 2nd set at the Beacon Friday - happened to be in town and picked up tickets at the last minute. Really great. Wish we could have stayed until the end. No guests that night - would like to have seen Nels come out again!!
  9. Neal is playing with Chris Corsano and Okkyung Lee at The Stone on Oct 17th.

  16. Sounds fantastic. Thanks for the excellent recap. I'm glad they are getting more adventurous with the setlist again. Opening with You Are My Face is pretty great.

  18. "Over the next year, Cline’s plans include touring Europe playing Lovers with local orchestras, touring in drummer Bobby Previte’s group with sax player Greg Osby and keyboardist John Medeski, writing music for “The Call”—a secular mass commissioned by the State of Minnesota, and recording projects with drummer Scott Amendola, harpist Zeena Parkins, clarinetist Ben Goldberg, guitarist Julian Lage, his wife (multi-instrumentalist and Cibo Matto co-founder) Yuka Honda, and his bands Eyebone, The Nels Cline Singers, and The Nels Cline Quartet." http://www.thetulsavoice.com/September-B-2017/Rogu
  19. Bbop-Didn't get there in time to say hi- saw you on the rail. We showed up midway through Creamer. Pretty great crowd up front (we were about 7 rows back).
  20. Yes- they didn't gig from Oct of '13 until Sept '14.
  21. Has Jeff played acoustic on precious Scmilco tour versions of Pot Kettle? Sounded great to my ears. Great show. Great venue too
  22. Definite slope (unlike pritzker). Lots of sitting beyond the pit area which was the first 20ish rows) any many left early during the encores, but I think Wilco was generally well received. I think one reason tickets were $69 was to pay for a huge event staff. People on staff everywhere. There must have been three dozen dedicated to parking alone. I can't remember if I've ever seen a stand alone outta site before. It was kinda cool. Used to them going right into it from Monday or I Got You.
  23.
