  1. Then you should probably stop watching football altogether. It's what fuels a lot of players. I would never do it, but I certainly wouldn't expect every other human being to be wired the same way I am. And it was far from classless. But then again, I probably define class a little differently. At the very least, I would hope Sherman's post-game interview would lead people to look at him a lot more closely. Watch his interviews after the emotions had died down. Read about his background, his intelligence, his ability, his off-field qualities. For some people, though, 30 seconds is all they ne
  2. I have definitely been excited about the new album for a while now, and the new song sounds great. He's easily in my personal Top 10 artists of all-time.
  3. That's a shame because there are plenty of sports journalists who can run circles around most others by finding fresh insight, analysis, and perspectives on a nightly basis. You're a little too dismissive.
  4. I'm not sure I understand your slam on sports journalism, or how sideline reporting could even be considered that.
  5. Essential read right here, especially for its takes on politics and science. But the rampant anti-intellectualism that exists today is stupefying. The Death of Expertise
  6. And another great take on the great Richard Sherman (with some essential links within the story too): http://www.sportsonearth.com/article/66872858/seattle-seahawks-richard-sherman-worth-rooting-for-in-super-bowl
  7. And here in his own words, since he's been a guest columnist all season on MMQB: http://mmqb.si.com/2014/01/20/richard-sherman-interview-michael-crabtree/
  8. It's obviously still early, but the few articles I read seem to suggest that Hillary is practically a de facto incumbent. And only if she decides not to run will the race open up. I guess we'll see. Did Elizabeth Warren pledge to serve her full term? Of course she's almost as old as Hillary. I also saw Martin O'Malley and Kirsten Gillibrand mentioned in addition to the names you provided. Are these fresh voices in the Democrat Party? Hillary just seems stale to me as a potential candidate.
  9. Are there any legitimate potential Democrat presidential nominees for 2016 right now? Is Hillary the only one?
  10. Those are definitely the only two states I would consider leaving Texas for. Although, I could throw in Montana, but I would need to be in or close to Missoula.
  11. Here's a good piece in Slate about the book and how even-handed it is despite the cherry-picked quotes from both sides:
  12. What experiment? I'm looking more forward to when Jorge Alfaro is ready.
  13. Spotify is also available on the Roku 3!
  14. I don't think Jared lost all that weight by always ordering the 12"
  15. Come on now...don't you know there's no such thing as science?
  16. It is annoying. But that Chvrches album is pretty great.
  17. No kidding. It was 15 (above zero) this morning in DFW. And while that's certainly cold, it's nothing compared to what other areas are facing. Of course, my office was shut down for two weeks, and when I walked in this morning, the thermostat said 58. It still hasn't warmed up, so I'll complain just a little.
