I heard Peter Buck and Scott McCaughey are doing a song for this Replacements tribute. -
Thank you for the into, it's always nice to know what R.E.M. are up to, one song I particularly recall from Green is Hairshirt, I think it-s beautiful, You are the Everything is also very good, Turn You Inside Out is a song very reminiscent of Discoverer. A good CD but I rank Accelerate even higher than Green.

Thanks, that's the name of the song. Chelsea Walls comes up with the search, I had forgotten about this, now I just wonder if the Mermaid Avenue version is the same as the one included in the soundtrack? So, it's a song performed by Jeff Tweedy but not written by him, now I get it, thsnks for clarifying this.

I wonder if the songs with Billy Bragg qualify? I'm thinking of a track which also appeared on a soundtrack, but appeared on Mermaid Avenue as a different version, forgot the name of the song/soundtrack, will check.

Not bad, although I preferred Tromso Kaptein, I think it's the better and rockier album, but not bad. Biggest omission from the album is "There goes the ice", my only complaint as now I must find that Record Store Day EP which is said to contain the song, overall not other complaints. I just don't see the logic of leaving the song out of the record since it fits within the message and the spirit of Love from London, would have made a great single. End of Times is ok.

Memorable bass lines Mike Mills in "New Test Leper" and John Paul Jones in "how many more times".

Currently enjoying the piano in "So Blue" and the voice of the singer, I think I prefer the songs with the female vocalist.

Streaming on NPR right now: http://www.npr.org/series/98679384/first-listen Must admit I'd never heard of the band until Tweedy's involvement.

thread views refresh only after someone posts an answer on them, but this wasn't always the case as I remember.

I noticed that thread views aren't refreshing anymore?

Thanks for posting all these WIlco infos. I didn't know Glenn Kotche was working on a solo album, the Syracuse University performance is probably related to Illiymaq (pardon the spell if not correct)?

Mr. Hitchcock is often overlooked, as a guitarist.

The only Bill Murray film that I own on DVD is Groundhog Day. I bought it because I think it's like a time capsule of the nineties, and part of me is still living in that decade. When watching it the other day, I realised that Andie McDowell looks a lot like Elaine Benes.

I realise I'm in the minority here, but I don't like much of Radiohead's electronic stuff. The Bends with its acoustic guitars is fantastic, it's probably the only Radiohead album that I want to listen to from time to time. Which brings me to Atoms, I understand it's mostly an electronic affair so that has prevented me from giving it a listen, I suppose it's unfair, I should at least give it a couple of listens and see if the music makes any impact on me, but already I was disappointed with the King of Limbs which I bought, it was only a series of computerised bits. Despite all of this I'm goi
