  1. Which ones? All the "Star Wars" tracks? Such great versions at that show!!! I even prefer them to the Roadcase release from Redmond, WA... so glad to have the video & audio! Love to get the official downloads at some point. Still hoping for an Ithaca Roadcase- the "Star Wars" material was just incredible that night too!!
  2. When I left NYC in the Summer of 2000... the Mets & Yanks ended up in the first all NYC subway series in over 4 decades... The Mekons finally did their "Club Mekon" residency (played 3 dates highlighting various aspects of their career @ CBGB's, Bowery Ballroom & Maxwell's in Hoboken, NJ)...and... After lightning struck & I ended up losing both my sublet & job in the same week I ended up back at my mom's house (with my younger brother, who had never left) & promptly injured my left arm. I thought I'd end up on disability (as the injury lasted over 2 debilitating years.)- c
  3. Hoping we get at least something else on Roadcase before the end of the year... loved the performance of "Star Wars" at Pitchfork & would really love one more version of the whole album live... REALLY hoping that, at the very least, the Ithaca show gets a Roadcase release!! That was a truly magical night on many levels!!
  4. Let's Go Mets!!! http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2573901-why-the-new-york-mets-will-be-unstoppable-in-the-postseason?utm_source=facebook.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=programming-national http://theconcourse.deadspin.com/you-can-take-yo-la-tengo-to-a-mets-game-but-you-cant-m-1734261734
  5. First- Continuation of the "Star Wars" tour (rooting for an NYC triple with an all-acoustic show & for Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, Toronto too...) ... then... ... IIRC correctly Jeff said, in an interview a little while back, that he & Spencer had the next Tweedy album (think it was implied that it was a single album) all finished, mixed & ready to go.. so I'm betting on another Tweedy album (in 2016) before the next Wilco... but another Wilco album sooner than later is certainly possible guessing 2017)... & some Jeff solo dates (including two all-request shows at the Vic thi
  6. Great point, that would have been an interesting twist... They did something similar in S.F., where they played two gigs (one a Fest) & they did an all-acoustic show which featured 9 of the 10 (no "E.K.G.", of course, & no "You Satellite", sadly...they didn't do them consecutively, but in groupings of 3....)- it's out there as Roadcase #49 (Roadcase #50 has a full electric "Star Wars")...
  7. Doing this next Saturday...should be fun! If anyone is in the Western New York area...hope to see you there!! "On Saturday October 3rd The Dryden Theatre (at The George Eastman House, 900 East Ave, Rochester, NY) is showing "I Am Trying To Break Your Heart"- a documentary on Wilco & the making of "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot". While the film starts at 8:00, the festivities begin there at 7:15 with John Link leading "The Kay-Settes (Starring Butcher's Blind)" for some pre-film live musical fun. After that the party moves to The Skylark Lounge (40 S. Union St.) where The Great Lates DJ Collective w
  8. REALLY hope the amazing Ithaca show becomes a Roadcase release!!!!!!!!!
  9. Sorry we weren't able to hook up... hopefully at some east coast gig in the future... I was dancing up left myself!! As great as I've ever seen them (probably close to the same number of times you have too), maybe THE best even, & probably the most fun too. I REALLY hope they do a Roadcase show from this one!!!!!!!!!!
  10. No, they missed one. "Red-Eyed & Blue" followed by "I Got You (At The End Of The Century)" yes... they played it, just skipped on the official set list. Without question it was as great as I've ever seen them play & beyond that a real magical night with the crowd. The new album was just stellar live (really didn't feel it got a fair shake for me in Cleveland with the sub-par acoustics, but here it was a perfect situation.) as I'd hoped having seen & heard the previous footage of it. Jeff noted something to the effect of "I think we've got a new favorite place to play!" at one p
  11. I PM'd you here too, but... My friend's are trying to sell a pair, but... I heard from, literally, a friend of a friend that there was someone looking for a single ticket. My cell is (585) 813-3561 if you wanna try me & I can see if I can hook you up with the person looking for the single. Being a sold out show & having the kind of ticket you've got, I'll bet you'll do fine, but good luck anyhow!
  12. My phone number is (585) 813-3561. I have friends (great folks who run The Bop Shop & Bop Arts Live Music in Rochester, NY) & they've got a great pair of tickets... Orchestra Left, Row L (12th row) Seats 9 & 11 for $55 each. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcX-3x7Rdoc
  13. Since both "merline" & bbop" have mentioned it...I'll go a step further... The performance was a great one (and a total thrill to catch the new album right out of the gates), but this was the worst sound I've ever heard at a Wilco show. Stan & the gang do a great job, so it was most certainly the venue. I was in the GA in the Pit, & moving around didn't really help much either... the vocals were cavernous, the bass mush & plaenty of times I could see hands, fingers & picks flailing away, sometimes even knowing the notes going on, but I couldn't hear them. Ugh & Argh...
  14. Ticket, sadly, is available... I'm headed to Buffalo first for a dental appointment & will only be available by phone & my cell number is (585) 813-3561
  15. A friend of mine (who works on the Railroad... all the live long day...) from Buffalo was/is planning on going to the show in Cleveland with me, but... issues with work involve him now getting some kind of revised work schedule this Wednesday. So we won't know for sure if he can go until that day- which is the day before the show. Ugh! For both of us... Meaning there is a potential that I might have one extra ticket for, get this, the General Admission in the Pit...as close as you can get without sitting in with the band! So chime in here, or PM me to get in line for the possible/potential go
  16. Interestingly enough, while I thought the performances for both the recent Roadcase shows were great, I thought the sound (while not awful by any means) wasn't that great & wasn't up to the usual quality/standards of other Roadcase release (also odd that they'd release two sort of sub-par sound shows at once)... I have to say that I think I really prefer the audio files floating around from the Pitchfork Fest to the Seattle/Redmond show. I'm curious to hear from any other folks that have both, as to which they think is better, the Pitchfork live show or the recent electric show Roadcase
  17. Wilco Just Released Two New Roadcase shows!!! #49 (8/11 Redmond WA) features an electric performance of "Star Wars" (minus "EKG"- just like at the Pitchfork Fest) & #50 (8/6 San Francisco, CA) is the all acoustic gig at The Independent, which features 9 songs from "Star Wars" (missing "EKG" & "You Satellite")...so now there will be the studio version, a live electric version (in addition to the great Pitchfork audio files) & close to a full acoustic version too!
  18. Really good video of the whole show! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBrpdjUrdWw
  19. Really good video of the whole show! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBrpdjUrdWw
  20. I'd say "Pickled Ginger"pretty much for sure... the instrumental on side one & then 5 songs each (from the ten remaining) for each side.
  21. My personal hope for a later deluxe edition (from post above): What I think would be a great idea is to find the best live show version (or versions if you'd like to cherry pick & have them culled from various shows) & completely mix it (a la "Kicking Television: Live In Chicago") & release a Deluxe version of "Star Wars" towards the holidays with both the studio & a live version of the album. I hope that would get them to play "EKG" at least once. It'd be cool to close the set with it, like a bookends of sorts or a "Finnegan's Wake" finish- where the ending is a circular begin
  22. Yeah, not diggin' the barcode back cover, or the weird way the lyrics are printed, but... minor points compared to how absolutely great this is!!! Got mine today!!
