  1. No posts during the first few games of ST? The Marlins are playing the University of Miami and are up 7-2 right now. Miguel Cabrera went deep in his first ST at bat against Florida Southern College with the Tigers. The "real" games begin tomorrow or the day after. Baseball season is getting close.
  2. I'm going to go buy this this weekend so I can reread it. I haven't read it in about 4 years, and I'm really looking forward to getting into it again.
  3. I like Dookie, too. I must really be a bandwagon-jumping poseur.
  4. I bought YHF first. Then Summerteeth Being There Mermaid Avenue I A Ghost Is Borned AM Kicking Television Sky Blue Sky Mermaid Avenue II I am a bad man.
  5. I guess mine says May of 04, or something. It feels like it was before that, but I guess the timeline matches up. That was prior to my junior year of high school, and I was probably quite annoying.
  6. That was absolutely brilliant. I love when Robin Williams just splashed the water bottle. That was probably the funniest bit.
  7. I have a lot of trouble believing this. I think it's, like, a joke.
  8. God, I would so love to do this festival one year...
  9. Ok, maybe Nader had nothing to do with the environment becoming a more important "political" issue for the democrats. I still don't have a problem with him running. And a quick question for all of you Democrats who all pissed off about Nader, because he has no chance to win and is being an egomaniac and all of these things. Would you have even a small problem with Ron Paul running as a 3rd party candidate and "taking" votes from the republicans? Your opposition to Nader is nothing more than self serving. It really doesn't have anything to do with the way he goes about it, you just don't like
  10. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like there has been a lot of revisionist history with regards to Gore's environmental record in 00. Sure, he was an advocate, but what I was referring to how it was a non-issue for the 2000 election, and ever since then, it has become one of the Democrats pet issues. This isn't accidental, and I think Nader's 2000 run had a lot to do with it.
  11. I mean, I would argue that for all of the people who think the environment is an important issue, Nader did them a great service by "screwing up" the '00 election. He is doing what all 3rd parties hope to do. Have some sort of effect on the outcome that way the major party that they "hurt" are forced to take their issues on. I suppose in order to buy into the "miserable failure" bit of your post, you have to believe that McCain is any more or less likely to be a great (or terrible) president than Obama or Clinton, something I'm not sure I believe.
  12. The two party system is awful for our country, so I have no problem with anyone who wants to do something about it.
  13. Damnit. I couldn't hear anything when she called. Must've been like three times I tried to talk to you guys and I couldn't hear a thing. That makes me sad.
  14. Hate It Here and Thanks I Get with the total pros.
  15. I was so young. Must've been right after I turned 16...
  16. Save for my dreams, I've never met ction.
  17. I talked to Caliber on the phone once or twice, but never big perm.
  18. Perfect. Absolutely the perfect way to end the residency. I mean, once you play the best song in your catalog, how could you top it?
  19. Well, I don't think they are exactly breaking a ton of new ground, so I can understand charges of being derivative. Boring is a subjective charge, so there's no point in challenging that. As for whether they'll be forgotten in 2 years, who knows and who cares? I mean, obviously Solace plans on remembering them in two years, and I'm pretty sure I will too, so what's your point?
  20. He writes, almost exclusively, sappy love songs, but he does it really well. He's the master of them, really. I even like "Silly Love Songs", which is like his mission statement.
  21. I don't have anything planned, but I'm not even sure when I'm going to be in the city itself. We are visiting family about an hour south (I believe), but we're gonna spend a day in the city proper, I believe. I'll probably make a topic about it.
