I second Lammycat's suggestion - maybe paired with a selection of drawing/art supplies. If he's into drawing has he also explored water-based media yet? Maybe a set of watercolors and/or acrylics and brushes, along with water-soluble colored pencils, colored inks, and a couple of pads of different drawing & watercolor papers.

Here's some pix I took using a digital camera shooting through the viewfinder of an old Argoflex 75 twin lens reflex camera: Also, here's a link to my blog explaining the process - it's not that hard to do & the results can be interesting.

When I was a kid we had a weimaraner that ate the aluminum siding off his dog house. Not chewed up and spit out. Ate.

yup - there's certainly no shortage of blame to go around. BTW: a couple of years ago npr did a story on the auto worker's Jobs Bank program. Don't know if the program is still in place, tho.

Anybody else's antennae go up when they refer to Palin going "off the reservation"? I must've heard the phrase used at least a dozen times on cnn this weekend.

Regardless of who wins (and I've already absentee voted with the VC majority) is there any chance of getting Bush to leave early? Maybe not by the day after the election, but by the end of that week seems reasonable. Heck, I'll even drive up from Georgia & help him pack.

Nixon won in a landslide in my 3rd grade mock election. I was assigned to mark the McGovern votes on the chalkboard, so I didn't really have much to do. (BTW I voted for Nixon)
