  1. Yes. Craig Ferguson is the man and extremely creative with his show. I loved it when he had Stephen Fry on for the whole hour and chatted with him on a variety of topics. And the fact that there was no audience there made it even better and different than usual. Bill Carter discusses new Late Night Wars book on The View I'm kind of eh that Conan is back. I enjoy him, but I'm not a huge fan of him like some people that I know.
  2. Bill Murray seemed opposed to the script/treatment dating way back to when it was rumored that he would be playing a ghost in the film. When he was on Letterman recently, he told him that he would do it if he "was killed off in the first reel". It seemed like he was commenting on the fact that the script seems to focus on this and there's no way around him actually being alive throughout the whole film. He also obviously doesn't elaborate on being a ghost in the film. Maybe he means he wants Venkman to get an honorable movie death, much like Harrison Ford told George Lucas that he should co
  3. Yes, this story has been kicking around since Year One came into theatres in 2009 and stunk the joint out. The movie that is. Anyways, the idea of putting the old Ghostbusters in the background while the new recruits come into the story has also been described by every movie site. Now, the other rumor is that Oscar (Sigourney Weaver's son from Ghostbusters 2) is supposed to be the main character out of the new recruits. Why do I constantly see Michael Cera in this role? (hopefully they get a bit more creative than that) The other twist is that Oscar may or may not be the son of Peter Venkman
  4. Look, I'm no Child Psychologist but I think that they would say something similar to this: "It is in the best interest for your child to make each and every holiday unique and distinguishable, so that they can have distinctive memories as an adult." The main problem that I have with having such an early jump on Christmas, even before Thanksgiving arrives, is wondering how much confusion that causes to any child. They will have memories of Thanksgiving with a Christmas Tree and its various decorations around the house. In due time, memories of each holiday will blend in with each other due t
  5. Nope. Seems way too early, especially since Halloween is fresh in your children's minds. I heard a Christmas jingle the day after Halloween. It made me feel like I was being rushed. Not to mention the fact that I saw Halloween costumes in stores on July 31st. The real blame should be placed on Charlie Brown and the Peanuts for having a lackluster Thanksgiving Special sandwiched between an awesome Halloween and Christmas Special.
  6. I can't believe that I forgot about this, but when I went out to L.A. in 2006 she was on The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson promoting Winter Passing. I attended that taping. I've never seen the film, but it has Will Ferrell and Ed Harris.
  7. Some sad news from my friend's Facebook page: He's out of a job, now that Undercovers just got cancelled today. He works for Bad Robot and was on Fringe's 1st 2 seasons. I don't recall seeing the Bad Robot logo on Undercovers. Anyways, last night he sent out a status update telling friends to watch because NBC was specifically looking at last night's ratings to pull the trigger either way. Undercovers Cancelled 3 more episodes to air. 3 more in the can that should be included on a DVD release at some point.
  8. FYI: IFC Is playing all 6 episodes of Todd Margaret this Friday from 7:30pm - 10:30p.m. I definitely plan on DVD-Ring them, just in case if these don't hit DVD until next fall. Or if there never is a Season 2.
  9. The 1st episode of Eastbound & Down was very jarring to me. It felt like a completely different show because the story now takes place in Mexico. Obviously Kenny Powers is still Kenny Powers, but now he's surrounded by different supporting characters. I think that at some point some of the old cast comes back. It was so jarring that I am going to rewatch episode 1 again and then continue. Speaking of beautiful women on tv, Ana de le Reguera is amazing on Eastbound & Down. She played the nun in Nacho Libre.
  10. PEARL JAM KICK OFF THEIR 20th ANNIVERSARY YEAR WITH RELEASE OF NEW LIVE COMPILATION ALBUM "LIVE ON TEN LEGS" OUT JANUARY 18, 2011 Pearl Jam announce the release of "Live on Ten Legs," a new live compilation album that will be available through Pearl Jam's Ten Club and select digital and independent music retailers on January 18, 2011 (January 17, 2011 internationally). Kicking off the band’s twentieth anniversary year, "Live on Ten Legs" features 18 Pearl Jam tracks recorded over the course of the band's 2003-2010 world tours by recording engineer, John Burton (full track listing below
  11. You must have watched last night's episode, right? So you haven't seen the pilot where she drops her dress and has the most amazing underwear on and body to boot (i called it the "we're definitely getting a full episode order" shot)? I gave my DVR a workout that night. Relax, it was only the DVR that got a work out that night. I want to bring Gugu to a Wilco concert. Edit: None of the Google Images do her justice, so I will post an interview with her to show her. It turns out that she's British. I did not know that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbRz3MHM6rw
  12. Hmm. Well, they are using her again. Maybe they have a punch card like Subway where they'll get a free toupee for Michael Stipe.
  13. R.I.P. Sparky Time to order a Domino's Pizza in his honor tonight.
  14. I almost mentioned Boardwalk Empire, but I only watched the pilot episode way back in September. I fucking loved it, but I'm using the 3 month window on On Demand as a buffer to wait and watch them. For some reason the network shows only last a couple of weeks on On Demand. I can't complain. It helps out my DVR by not recording shows except for those on FOX and ABC.
  15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgmbdfGbvX0 This looks fricken insane!! And it is from an original concept from the mind of Zack Snyder (Dawn Of The Dead, 300, Watchmen, & Legend Of The Guardians: The Owls Of Ga'Hoole). Snyder's visual adaptation of the masterpiece that is known as Watchmen makes him more than ok in my book. It looks like Shutter Island with hot women and crazy fever dreams of badassness.
  16. R.E.M. New Album To Feature Eddie Vedder, Patti Smith and Peaches
  17. I'm not as caught up with my cable tv series, as I would like to be. The only scene that I have seen this year is the one where she has sex with Mark Paul Gosselar. I love Mary Louise Parker. Her photo on the DVD covers should be reason enough to watch.
  18. I really wanted to start this thread a little while ago. Maybe 2 weeks ago, but I think now the time is right. Anyways, I will start out by listing what I have watched and a little bit about what I think about them. This has been a very odd tv season so far. Certain shows are trying to be replaced and other new shows are falling by the wayside. Some have extremely poor ratings, but haven't even been cancelled yet. Ok. Here I go...New shows first... Monday: The Event (NBC) - The biggest problem that I have with this show is that it is being advertised everywhere as "If Lost & 24 had
  19. Nope, but it is a glance. I don't do this to my bathroom lights: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7Iid0D2R74&feature=player_embedded
  20. No. It feels the longing in my eyes.
  21. That only works in old episodes of Married...With Children when Kelly Bundy would put a blanket over Bud's head and he'd immediately fall asleep. Or was it the other way around?
  22. That's why I don't stare at it. I find it rather rude.
  23. You definitely end up ruining your eyes by staring at a computer screen for a day because your eyes blink less. And I don't stare at it. I look at it. There is a difference. I'm more casual about it.
  24. So you're saying that we're all fucked.
