Omigawd, you are all making me hungry! Photos, even...too much! If it hadn't been so much work the first time around, I'd be tempted to suggest Volume 2 of The VC Cookbook ("Go Ahead, Take a Look at My Kitchen") We have some majorly great cooks here. Feel free to post recipes. I'd love to try everything described so far!

Even more than Thanksgiving time, the Holiday season seems to be when everybody pulls out all the stops with favorite recipes. Whether it is specific holiday treats, or simply cozy winter dishes, what wonderful flavors are floating through your household? I haven't begun any Christmas baking yet...waiting for the kids to be finished with this last week of school, since they like to help. Then we'll make molasses crinkle cookies and maple-walnut fudge and other favorites. For now, we're enjoying warm, fragrant meals like the fabulous chicken & sausage & peppers & onions I made the

I know, huh? All that fire makes this winter day seem a little warmer.

Vent your frustrations in a humanity-safe manner! http://www.devastatingexplosions.com/ Very satisfying.

I am definitely going to see this.

ih8music makes sense. It's going to catch up with the person, and more likely sooner than later. So let those whose job it is to police the employees do their thing, unless, as he said, there is some sort of danger involved. The employee's higher-ups have probably already noticed this person's unique fragrance. Did the person see you seeing him/her partake? If so, their paranoia has probably already kicked in, which might be enough to make them knock it off, at least on the job.

Getting Hitched! (elope or no?) What was your wedding like?
kidsmoke replied to SarahC's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
I'm loving hearing all these love stories. Dunja, your wedding was so absolutely perfect...a beautiful bride and a handsome groom, surrounded by so many friends and family who loved them, in a setting that was fairy-tale perfect. But it was the love between the two of you that really put the glow on the whole shindig. Sarah, I wish you and Matthew the kind of love Dunja and Rob have. That's all that really matters for your wedding! The rest is just details. Jen, you have some great suggestions! I have fond memories of me & the kids folding cranes for your big day. -
Congratulations on your nomination, Wilco! Well deserved.

Getting Hitched! (elope or no?) What was your wedding like?
kidsmoke replied to SarahC's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Make your wedding about the two of you, Sarah....not about everyone else. Elope if it feels right. That can be beautiful and intimate. Whatever you choose, enjoy it and celebrate your love! -
I'm so sorry to hear this. They become so dear to our hearts, and their absence is so obvious. All those little things they did. Peace to your family, and RIP to your dog.

This whole thing isn't worth anybody getting their knickers in a bunch over. I don't think anything was meant by suites' response; I think he was just kind of sighing aloud over how difficult and expensive these tickets are to get. (That was a horribly structured sentence! Forgive me.) I'm sure he didn't mean to lecture you, Head, it's just sometimes a flaw of a message board that we can't judge a statement by anything other than a few typed words...no tone, no facial expressions, and emoticons only go so far. But I'm sure it wasn't meant as a personal attack or lecture. Good luck finding

After he gets one, I'll buy anybody else's extra. (One is all I need) -
A Ghost is Born won 2 grammys...the 2nd was for the album art.

I'm thankful for all of the wonderful people I've met through Wilco's music. It amazes me sometimes, how many friendships have evolved through this board! You are dear to me. Yes, you. I'm so grateful for all the love of my family and our beloved pets, and for all the twists and turns of life that keep it so interesting of a roller-coaster ride. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, everyone, and remember to give more weight to the blessings and less to the hardships. These aren't easy times, but we all have some really sublime blessings. I'm trying to learn to put the focus there. Love to you al

I'm so sorry for your loss, Tweedys. Losing a beloved pet is one of life's hardest passages. They give their love so freely, and leave such an empty place when they're gone. Cutty had such a long life, and was undoubtedly showered with love for all those 20 years. Peace to you all.

I hope someone out there has an extra or 3 that they'd like to sell! Had computer woes this morning and missed out completely! My kiddos and I need to be at the Wiltern on the 25th...please help if you can!

Wilco shares 'The Whole Love' with community

That was a terrific interview, and a great little video clip! I love hearing them talk about their committment to their fans. So genuine. -
Good duct-tape restoration work, Amaranthine! You must've been a man in a previous life...repairing stuff with duct tape seems to be encoded into all male DNA. It's not pretty, but it sure does work in a pinch. A dear friend who is far craftier than I once made me a cool duct tape purse (red & black duct tape) and a beautifully detailed "kidsmoke" wallet, using multiple colors of duct tape. It's a thing of beauty! Ack, Crow, this story made me cringe just reading it!!! Reminded me of my college student days when I once sliced the hell out of the inside of my thumb. I was washing a
