But anyway, can we all dispense with saying "ass fucked" now?

That movie just plain makes me happy.

I thought Conan ended with class, period. What makes you say "kinda", drop dead ed? Just curious.

:lol And with that, we have January's Post of the Month.

Yes, do, Shakespeare! High Heat describes it well. A book you fall into and don't want to end. I agree it's better as it goes, not that it's ever bad! We are so off topic here.

I'm a huge fan of Craig Ferguson, whether in his comedic role being cute and silly, or speaking seriously. He's quite a bright guy, very fast on his feet in interview segments, and always interesting. Since I'm an admirer of his quick mind, I recently read his first book, which is fiction, called "Between the Bridge and the River". Of course I hoped to like the book because I like Ferguson, but I didn't expect it to be as brilliant as it was! It's a great, very funny, convoluted tale that intertwines the lives of several characters like a grand train wreck of ambitions and motivations. One of

That's awful news! Thank God he's in good medical hands and getting the care he needs. Get well soon, Greg!

Oh, you should definitely read it.

Me, or the original poster? That's a book I really oughta reread...it's been years.

You've gone through all the appropriate channels already. There's really nothing else to do, unless you'd want to email a second time. Going through TMM is your most solid bet. Perhaps a phone call would be more effective.

I haven't seen it so I can't comment there, but that's a pretty funny description!

That's pretty neat!

It tends to do that!

Don't apologize for ranting! That was a pretty good rant. Sorry for your wallet woes and yes, even sorrier for those without health coverage. -
The Twelve Days of Christmas, 2009 style
kidsmoke replied to kidsmoke's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
DAMN! I think we've got ourselves a classic here! I know what I'll be humming throughout Christmas. Quite the memento of the year that's just blasting past us. Thank you, everyone, for not saying the Sar** Pal** words in any of the lyrics! -

The Twelve Days of Christmas, 2009 style

Coming along nicely. I would recommend that we not worry too much about the numbers, since there aren't really likely to be ten or twelve of anything.....ooh, ooh, unless it's "12 more mistresses of Tiger's..." But I'm getting ahead of myself. Also we should be sure to work "public option" into the song somewhere. -
Ok, I'll start. "On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, a Kanye apologizing." Who wants to tell us what the second day of Christmas brought? Please add each line, as the song is sung. Stay specific to 2009.

kidsmoke replied to Lotti's topic in Just A Fan
The best thing about seeing that Abba was being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame was knowing that it would bring Lotti out of the woodgrain! Welfare, Lotti dearest! -
Settle down Kinsley Don't get your knickers twisted Mr. Impatience

I was thinking the same...I wouldn't want to be the one trying to judge all those entries! Your kiddos did some amazing work, Kinsley. You should be very proud of how well your lesson worked out.

You kids are too fast for me, and besides, the turkey avatar stays until the turkey within my fridge has been dispatched!

I'm so thankful for this thread, and for all the friends I've made through VC and love so dearly even if I'm iffy about staying in touch.* More later when time is more generous. * If you think I might mean YOU, well of course I do. You're amazing and I treasure knowing you.
