An open letter to all you bug squishers
kidsmoke replied to Good Old Neon's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
I really was joking about the "twins" thing you realize...to be all Britney Spears (sorry)"I'm not (quite) that innocent". And I think more people would go to parades if....oh never mind... -

You are clearly a study in contradictions. -
Now I remember why I was an independent all those years.

Yes well, I am exceptionally wise. Now stop girl, you're making me blush, and red isn't my best color. I'm a "Spring". -
Not to go all "mom" on you, but do we have to title this "I give a fat turd"? Because that's just childishly gross.

Panther, dear, while you are perfectly entitled to your opinions, 4 posts in a row of relentless diatribes is a bit much, even for our permissive and tolerant board. Much of your commentary violates our clearly-stated rule against deliberately baiting other members. Your statements are your own opinions, not sacred fact, and much of it is offensive. You need to rein it in some or you will be unwelcome here. From the Via Chicago Rules and Regulations (prohibited behaviors): Baiting. Do not try to get a rise out of another member with your comments. Enough already. -
Yay for Archive! Thanks Wendy, that looks like a terrific set!
-
Only too happy to share, Stof! Oh, and for Jay & anyone else who doesn't have Dimeadozen, the shows are up on Archive.org. Look under Steve Wynn. The dates were 8-28 and 8-29.

Agreed. I love it. Makes me chuckle to hear it.

This looks incredible! Loved the classroom scene with the kids learning English. And the dancing shadows are brilliant!

Dear Dunja, I wish you the most brilliant of birthdays! This is for you! (I only nibbled a little off the back.) Have a wonderful new year of your life!

Boy you're quick. I was just going to post that that was up, and give the link, but you beat me to it. Planning to up it to Archive.org too, but are having a glitch with the encoding...got a question in to the site. So that'll be up soon. We'll also be putting up the 8-29-09 Troubadour show. Bink, you are going to have the most amazing and fun time! The band has been very accessible so don't hesitate to get some chat time after the show! Also, we (My son Brennan & I) are in the process (at this very moment in fact) of uploading the Lake Arrowhead and Troubadour shows so that you can download. I'll post a link as soon as that finishes up.

I'm in Riverside, CA. Tell Tunes to detour around all the fires. Alissa was just bemoaning her hair today...she's got school pics tomorrow. Her hair is so thick, but it's lovely. It looks really cute shorter, but she loves it long so I let her be. Maybe I should send her to your stylist! Post a picture of Chico! And no, Noods hasn't seen Beverly Hills Chihuahua. I suppose I'll have to rent it for him, but he's got the attention span of a...well, of a chihuahua/ Jack Russell terrier mix!
-
I'm a little concerned, because isn't "the universe starting to make sense" one of the signs of the Apocalypse? Regardless, I like the Jumble cartoon art! Good Wilco-promoting, JAK!
-
Ok, I get it now. If Noodle had a 3-ft. "pork stick" he'd be virtually crippled having to trip all over it. Next time I'm buying the beef stick so Brianne can't go all APE over a mention of it.
-
That's a great little article. Thanks for sharing it!

Thanks so much for sharing that EP! Hot damn, that's a prize, I'll have to try and get myself the genuine article. I laughed out loud when "Go Pilots Go" began! Now I'm wondering which set of lyrics came first, the "Pilots" ones or the "Blue Angels" ones. Too funny! This festival looks terrific! Have a great time!
-
No I won't paint it for you. Brianne, I catch your drift but what does APE translate to? I'm a non-texter. American Puritan Ethic? Asociación Proverista Española? Amtspflichterfüllung? Alternative Php Encoder Computing? Ammunition Peculiar Equip? Associate Pastor Emeritus? I'm thinking probably that last one. Or maybe the German one.

I have that Lowe Beats around here somewhere. I'll take a look and see if I can find it. Thanks for sharing that terrific clip! And I'm sure you mean "Go Blue Angels Go", right? I love that song! That whole YFF album is so fun. That sounds like a great EP!

Lake Arrowhead Village does these free concerts every summer, so for any of you in the area, you might want to check the schedule.
-
Sure! Haven't split tracks yet but they'll probably go up on Dimeadozen and/or Archive.org. Or you can drop me a pm.

Where? Wish I could be there! We got great recordings of both nights, Arrowhead and Troubadour, and listening to them just makes me realize that these great fun shows just whooshed by much too fast! We also got a song from Scott's new Young Fresh Fellows album, "I Think This Is"..."Let the Good Times Crawl"...that is one terrific album! Scott "autographed" the cover painting of a headless, suit-and-tied torso for me: "Hey Donna, I lost me fookin' 'ead! Love, Davy Jones"
