No, Mr. Security Guy, this isn't mine, that guy in the post before mine just handed it to me when he saw you coming!

If you don't run to the bathroom now it's nobody's fault but your own.

Pistachios are great for when you are impatiently awaiting the start of a Wilco webcast. Here, pass these around...

Here, have a nicely chilled Widmer while we wait and wonder.

You & me both. Don't think they've started yet.

The trick is to get there quite early...say, 4 pm.

I'd rather not close this thread because I think the grieving continues and there are members who'd still like a place to express themselves. Also, I think JerseyMike's comments have been neatly refuted here so I'll leave that be, but add that of course most of us here are offended by comments of that sort & don't agree. Any more speculation of this type will be removed without comment. Get it, people....totally inappropriate and frankly heartless and arrogant to presume you "know" things based on hearsay and speculation. Don't post it here.

These are from the 6/23 show John is midair in this picture.

Thank you, schoenfraun, and well put, M. Chris & sweetheart-mine. I guess we can't help but wonder about the circumstances, within our own minds, because we cared about the man and his music. But it is speculation, and as such is inappropriate and can be incredibly hurtful to those close to Jay the person, who was so much more than just a public figure. Before you post, try to pause and imagine if he had been your own family member...and then if you feel hesitant to post what you were going to, that's your good instincts kicking in, so listen to them. I just feel so much regret that he w

You got some really terrific shots, Maudie! I took bunches (plenty are just blurry messes tho') but haven't really had time to weed through them yet. I'll post some once this week winds down. The lighting this tour has been gorgeous!

Very cool shirt! I love looking at all these pictures! Great stuff. Here's mine from last night. (L.A. 6-23-09)

No, he's right, it really was a snippet from The Price is Right theme. Apparently Glenn's had it stuck in his head lately, so that seems to have been a bit of band teasing. Interesting review, though I'm often surprised by the way Wilco's songs are described by reviewers. This guy's adjectives made my eyebrows shoot up several times!

The Wiltern is a beautiful venue! It's a good size, big but not huge, and is well run. It's in a busy downtown neighborhood with a Ralph's directly adjacent to the parking structure. There are some food places in range...a Starbucks, a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, a McDonald's, a frozen Yogurt place, and I'm sure some other places, though I haven't explored the area too much. The Wiltern also sells some food (like nachos and soft pretzels) and of course drinks, but be warned, it's all quite expensive. See you tomorrow (Tues.) Tonight was a blast! Ack, I need to get to bed, somehow it's 5:45

What an incredibly fun moment it was when Jeff came over to the stage edge...at first it appeared that he was going to sit down on the monitor there, and maybe play for the kids, but then I realized he was judging the distance between the stage and the rail we were standing at. A second later he crouched and jumped down onto the low bench attached to the front rail, so that he was smack in front of me, Alissa, and the adorable brother and sister who were right next to us with their dad and auntie. In the jump, Jeff leaped right onto the half-a-Sierra-Nevada-Pale-Ale I had set there, saving it

Is it time to leave for the show yet?

Please say hi to me as well! Let's see, I think I'll be wearing a colorblocked blue & green shirt with sequins. And jeans. And I'll have in tow a 13-yr-old girl with attitude and long blonde hair, also a taller-than-me-these-days 18-yr-old kiddo named Brennan. Please, come identify yourselves & say hello! This is going to be great!!!!!

After the show. Either behind the venue, or look for the tour bus. Unless there's been a bad incident during a show (such as once in Springfield, MO when a drunken jerk jumped onstage and grabbed Jeff) I have never known the band to be reclusive, far from it! They are very generous with meeting the fans after a show and autographing things and even happily posing for pictures, so bring a camera. More than once I've seen Jeff notice a fan who seemed a little shy but was carrying a camera, and it was Jeff who spoke up and said, "Would you like a picture?". I've always thought that was so sweet o

I know you'll do great on your exam, Bea!
