  1. Noodle got it for his first birthday on April 16th, it has a squeaker which so far he's been unable to tear out, and while Noodle is happy to show you the toy, don't be ridiculous, of course you can't have it! Get your own damned toy!
  2. Congratulations, Kalle! I just listened to "Hall of Oats" on myspace & liked it a lot, so I'm downloading Whisper Bee. I wish you a lot of luck with this album!
  3. [Angry Rant] Make no mistake about it, I'm very happy I bought tickets today, to see the band on the 23rd of June. But I don't even have the words to express my contempt for the outrageous, over-the-top profiteering going on at Live Nation. Wilco itself is deserving of every nickel and dime I can lob in their general direction. They've earned that with glorious music and a generous, giving attitude toward their fans as well as the larger society (benefits etc.) Live Nation is another story. They deserve to make a profit as a business concern, for the service they deliver, but wringing the hapl
  4. Oops, must attempt to be clearer in my communications, despite that I'm all wonky with sleep deprivation today! What I meant there was, a question directed to Maudie, our moderator whose secret identity here on the board is "gogo". I was hopeful that perhaps Maudie would know definitively whether the Wiltern is all GA. Maudie knows an amazing number of things. As for yourself, you really should know Maudie! She's great people. Perhaps you will have the good fortune to make her acquaintance at the Wiltern.
  5. Yeah, that happened to me too, when I tried to get night 2 tickets. Frustrating, but at least the main sale is still ahead. I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure the Wiltern is all GA. Do you know, Maudie? (Because I'm too lazy to go look)
  6. I think it definitely helped you that you were only buying one. I did manage to get tickets for the 1st night, and went immediately to trying to buy for night #2, but it was already out....and it was still only 9:59! So the number of available presale tix had to be quite small, and the demand high. L.A. is an awfully big market. Better luck for everyone in the main sale!
  7. I'm pretty sure that was mine. Was it like, green, and white, with numbers in the corners?
  8. Haha Lou, not to dither but I suspect the proportion may be slightly higher than that....(bolding in your quote mine) Nevermind, I'm sure you intended to say, 2/3rds of Wilco?
  9. I always wake up feeling old, Drew! Oh! You mean the song!!! Aw, Too bad. But I had to see Brennan safely off on Amtrak Chief #4. Look out, Phoenix.
  10. Well Hell, I'm back just in time to hear the closer! What'd I miss?
  11. I SO don't want to leave for the train station!!! This is sublime!!!! Hiya Wendy!!! This concert is making me all exclamation pointy!!!!!!
  12. I'm here & LOVING this, but unfortunately have to leave in a moment so y'all party on until I'm back. Gotta take my boy to the train station...he's off on a school newspaper conference in Phoenix for several days, lucky kiddo! HOT DAMN this sounds great!

Where are you getting this info?
  14. Thanks ephSooner! Here's the text of that Wilco Store message: Attention shoppers, The Ashes of American Flags preorder ends this Wednesday at 3pm (EDST). There are many extras available. To simplify, here's a concise list: instant video download of the song "Monday" from the film (exclusive to us) the new Ashes tote and six incher toy (exclusive to us) audio download of all 20 songs from the film (available with any copy of Ashes) And recently announced, an audio download of one complete show featured in the film (available with any copy of Ashes through April 27) Now yo
  15. I can't wait for this to come out as a JHamm DVD!
  16. I hope you got the birthday you deserved, Brad! Here to help you celebrate a day late, I give you a razorback cake! With roses in its butt! (That part I can't explain, but hey, HAPPY BIRTHDAY anyway!) Talk about being all rosy-cheeked! Have a wonderful year!
  17. Proving that I too can be oblivious, I have missed your birthday, but I think I may have saved the belated moment....with the perfect virtual cake! This cake is apparently intended for the oblivious since it came up when I searched for an Oblivion Cake. Enjoy! Let us know if it, in fact, causes you to become still more oblivious....if you think of it, that is... I would only try a small bite until you know how it affects you.
  18. Again I find myself belated, but luckily the wishes are still warm. (I kept them in foil in a low oven.) So, I bring you cake: ....with apologies since that tacky "Cindy" at Bethel Bakery apparently felt the need to sign her cake artwork. Sheesh. Have a wonderful year!
  19. Happiest belated birthday, dear Owl, and have a positively glorious wedding! I'll be thinking of you on the 18th and hoping for beautiful weather and everything going perfectly! I give you cake: Happy Birthday to Yoooooou!
  20. We need to call a birthdays time-out for about a month so's I can catch up on my well-wishing! For you, Bryan....a jester cake, for fooln people. Even the name and age are confusing! Which reminds me, everybody should read Christopher Moore's newest book, "Fool"...his retelling of King Lear, as seen through the eyes of the court jester. It's brilliantly funny. (I couldn't afford a gift, Bryan, but you may consider this your Birthday Tip. You're welcome. )
