  1. How can you NOT hate that "EYE Ee Eye EE Eye" part in Eye Will Always Love You OOO OO OOOOO? Good call, Jeff.
  2. This place will never be the same. Farewell, dear Lotti! may you find the great icehole in the sky.
  3. For all of Joe's friends: A Celebration of Life will be held on January 27th, beginning at 7 p.m. All of Joe's friends are invited to come and share stories and music and memories. It will be at The Windsor Tavern & Grill 4530 North Milwaukee Ave. Chicago IL 60630 January 27th, beginning at 7 p.m.
  4. Many have wondered at the suddenness of Joe's passing. The sequence of events was that Joe had developed a massive infection in his leg, possibly related to a bowel breakage. (Autopsy will be done). There was consideration of amputation of the leg but by then the infection was overwhelming his system, and he died. It all happened with stunning rapidity. The only blessings in this are that when Joe first got to the hospital it had become obvious that surgery of some kind would be needed, and so Joe was sedated and comfortable; in no pain. When his situation was cascading downward, he was i
  5. With the deepest sadness, I have to announce that our beloved longtime member, Joe Campbell (JCamp) has died. He left us on Christmas Eve. I'm choosing to hold him in my heart as, simply, having "left the building". I don't believe the love and kindness he exuded could just disappear. It's all energy. So Joe is still out there with his big heart and his warm, wide grin, just looking for a good venue. Joe, you always did love travel. Wherever you're off to now, I hope it's a wonderful journey. You deserve that. Bye until we meet again. Love, Donna
  6. Great to see you as well, Tweedling!
  7. This makes me happy. Who doesn't love Stan?! He deserves that trophy and all that love.
  8. I'm a few days late because how do you folks keep up with yourselves? Anyway this is 4 days past but I'm still starry-eyed and dazzled from last Friday, seeing the brilliant Evie Sands and band at The Mint, a tiny club in L.A. From the moment their set began, I was transported, outside myself and totally happy. You music addicts know exactly what I'm referring to. I was just so happy it was stupid. What an amazing and connected band Evie has, and what a force of nature she is!!! When they come around, you go see them. Don't miss them. Wow. I still can't keep the smile off my face. Th
  9. Thanks always for the insightful and detailed reviews that let those of us not able to be there, still "be there". You have a gift for capturing the mood.
  10. Happy Thanksgiving, everybody! Even in dark times, there is always so much to be thankful for. Today we take stock of our blessings. Be happy.

    Setlists

I'd say these setlists are typical of setlists introducing a new album. Their priority is to present the new songs, while simultaneously including past favorites the audience will hope to hear. This early in a tour of a new album, it's unreasonable to think they won't stick to a fairly tight setlist to fit it all in. We'll see the setlists expand & loosen up once everyone around Wilco World has had a chance to hear their newest. First things first. I've seen several shows from the current tour and they were all pretty satisfying. I thought the "Cousin" material was strong and captivat
  12. Have you been to Pappy & Harriet's before? You're in for such a treat! If you're having dinner beforehand, I recommend their flat iron steak. Have fun! If you have time, drive on down the road past P&H for about 10 minutes...don't turn off at the curve, stay to the straight-ahead road. In about 10 minutes, on your right, you'll come to a very cool pile-up of rock formations close to the roadway, and fun to climb up. No gear needed, it's just a hill with paths worn into it. Neat views!
  13. I loved that era when the band was just Jeff, John, Glenn, and LeRoy. What a handsome little treasure of those times!
  14. Now see, Brian, knowing how shy you are, I was going to just leave you as the unmensch-ioned mensch! But it's such a good story and warms my heart. Thank you again for doing the legwork to secure this little beauty. And love to the Wilcoes as always.
  15. Part of a set my sister gifted me. A great stabby little knife!
  16. I haven't had much of an appetite lately.
  17. What, you people have no imaginations? Fill in the blanks!
  18. Sorry! I didn't notice that it hadn't uploaded the photo! Thanks for tipping me off.
  19. Those of you lined up at the Bellwether tonight will hopefully have no issues with line management tonight. My husband Bob has been a house manager and so poor house management bugs him. Last night he sought out the house manager and paid his compliments to the venue, as due, but told her about the line fiasco. It appeared to be accidental, in that the restaurant doors upstairs had apparently been, ah, 'left open" by the restaurant security, and people up there just took advantage of it and streamed in early, having already been ID-checked at the restaurant. Vanessa, the House Manager, was ver
