I too saw Evan on the fall tour. He had hurt his back sometime prior to the show I saw so explained the beers he was drinking were for pain. It didn't hurt his playing one bit and added some levity to a really great show. Sad news. Edit:

I'd pay the most to see Jeff solo in an very intimate setting. In the hundred$. Multiple hundred$$$$$.

I didn't know this until about five minutes ago. I like it. A lot.

Can't wait.

Thanks for Moorestown Solace. I really like it. I believe "Ghosts..." to be one of those perfect albums that comes around all too rarely these days. I will gladly except something half as good in "April" but hope for much more.

Poughkeepsie 2004. Dark suit. Dark shirt. Maroon(?) tie. Hummingbird dance. Great show. I saw Maudie there.

Thanks for the heads up Mr. Maker. I saw Sweeney Todd today and loved it. Most definitely near the top of my list.

Love it. A good hard read by a great writer. Edit: Challenging is much more appropriate than "hard".

Didn't see Superbad but Walk Hard is a definite as is Juno. Just didn't care for Knocked Up. At all.

One of my all-time favorite shows. Also the last time I saw them with Jay.

I just talked to the Shubert Box Office. Wilco set a record for a sellout for an "adult" show but were trounced by The Wiggles by 30 minutes for the all-time record.

I got the "no tickets available" but I kept on trying and it gave me a single for New Haven. Pretty decent seat but I'm going for two on ticket day, Dec.15.

I too have heard them in a JC Penney (in Connecticut). I believe it was something from Being There.

Thanks so much for the post with the pictures. It looks like a pretty cool setup and what a great setlist. I had seventh row off to stage left but I switched to row fourteen much closer to center stage. December 7 seems worlds away. I can't f*****g wait!

Very cool DrNo. What are the odds of the encounter never mind the great picture.

Inside "The Pocahontas". Happy Birthday Neil.

Just got Marah tickets for the Iron Horse in Northampton Ma. on January 20th. $12.50 plus $3.00 fee. Great live band, great venue.

Anthony Crawford has history with Neil playing/singing on Old Ways, Prairie Wind and Everybody's Rockin while joining Neil for those tours albeit they were short ones. Sounds like it's going to be a fun show.

The Queen Of Bedlam. Fictional murder mystery in NYC, 1702. Very good.

The soundtrack Kronos Quartet did for "Requiem For A Dream" added so much to a paralyzingly intense film. Glenn of course is one of the best. I always look forward to watching him play. It doesn't surprise when he collects accolades such as playing with other fine musicians. I'm not really a big Tom Waits fan but when I saw he was playing The Bridge School with Kronos I came very close to a plane ride.

Clear Channel will not play the new Bruce

Would you prefer "Blackout" by the estimable Ms. Spears? -
The first time I ever heard of Marah was when I saw them open for Steve Earle. I predicted major success. "Let's Cut The Crap & Hook Up Later on Tonight" is still one of my favorite first albums.
