There are no guarantees but I would guess he's closing one of the secondary stages, which would normally mean 90 minutes. Seeing that he's a "featured" performer (ie one listed on the poster for July 4 with the other acts listed above) I really don't see him getting less than an hour. Unless it's a holiday/travel planning thing, you don't have to decide quickly. Single day tickets almost never sell out and that lineup defintely won't be a sell out.

Date is the 4th of July.

Ottawa Bluesfest just tweeted Tweedy. No date yet. :-)

Strangest Guest performers you have seen at a show

Off the top of my head, probably Al Leiter with Bruce Springsteen -
Positive vibes and best wishes

I bet there's someone here who wants this: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/1951-U-S-ARMY-Soldier-Radio-Walkie-Talkie-Gun-Wilco-VINTAGE-AD-/281257860297?ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:CA:3160#ht_1945wt_916

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band

That seems to be the case. He referred to the lyrics for "Harry's Place" during an interview prior release of The Rising. It would seem like the song was reworked into Mary's Place but I guess time will tell. -
The originals doesn't hold any real collectable value for me - I know if I don't have it and I want it, I have to pay that premium. But I am more than happy to sell my VG original copy for $60 or $70 and buy a mint reissue for $40. Which I guess I should probably do now.
-
In some respects they are right on point with the prieces. Used copies of the first Mermaid Avenue sell for $75 and up, so you could argue they are offering brand new copies for half of what you pay for used copies. And I will pay the $40 so I have probably lost my mind.
-
Can't find an existing thread for this - all three volumes of Mermaid Avenue are coming out for RSD Black Friday (November 29, 2013). Priced a little (actually a lot) higher than I would like at $40 but gonna bit the bullet for this.

Jeff Tweedy's first solo single vinyl 7"!
bobfrombob replied to thejokeexplained's topic in Just A Fan
I was already to check out until I found that it was $23 shipping to Canada and an additional $10 duty. If I thought any of that was going to Slim, I would have still grabbed it but $23 to ship a single to Canada is wrong. -

Bids start at $50 so depending on interest.... -
Thanks for posting. The chances of me ever getting to one of these is extremely thin, so it's great to get a chance to experience it second hand. Plus I'm really friggin jealous.

My point, which I didn't make very well, is that even 10 years ago, it would have been unthinkable that a Stones show in an arena would not sell out in hours, if not minutes. To have any choice seats left is an indication that they really have gone to far in their pricing strucuture.
-
Nope. You knew before me.
-
Nobody I guess, which is why they are still there. And I would think anybody on the fence already will now be holding out for the $85 tickets. Would love to see them one last time but when ticket prices were announced, I lost interest.

Fleetwood Mac-Mick Fleetwood does not play alone
bobfrombob replied to worldrecordplayer's topic in Someone Else's Song
It's sunken in the stage, directly in front of his "main" mic stand. He doesn't actually depend on it that much, and obviously can't see it when he's on the move, but it's always there. -

I don't remember that it was openly acknowledged either though. I was at 3 shows and I don't think the keyboard player was mentioned at any of them. I recall that he was brought on stage for the last show. But I agree that it was pretty openly known. -

On the Devils and Dust tour, Springsteen had a keyboard player supplement some songs from off-stage. -
To some degree these people pray on the people who take eBay prices for the "real world" prices. "It's $50 on eBay so it must be worth $50". If you are a seller, you don't need to convince the whole world the White Stripes record is worth $50 - you just need to find one person.
