I've requested Magazine Called Sunset at about 6 different shows. Once I stuffed the ballot box and voted for it about 60 times. It was the most requested song for that show. I have never seen Magazine Called Sunset performed live. Wilco HATES me!

I can certainly see how they would appeal to the "jam band people". But (and this is really just a re-stating of the above), with Wilco, the songs come first and the playing serves the songs. I don't listen to a lot of jam bands and never see them live but that doesn't stop me from generalizing about them - it seems to me that the jam comes first, or the song is a means to get to a jam.

Are they will call too. The Montreal presale was for GA tickets and then you didn't even get your tickets 'till you arrived at the venue - which I don't like.

They were selling clear vinyl copies of the "I Might" single in Montreal - leftovers from Solid Sound. No copies of the LP on Sunday. My partner is somewhat obsessed with the length of "One Sunday Morning" and she timed it (not to the second or anything) - it was about 8 or 9 minutes live. I don't know if this counts or not but I was on an Air Canada flight yesterday and on the TV service, there was a show called "Impact" which I guess is a series about songs that "changed the world" so to speak. The subject song was "I Wanna Be Sedated" and Jeff was interviewed. He referred to punk music as "a 1,000 voices screaming no together resulting in one resounding yes" or something to that effect. He also said in 1978, everybody wanted to be The Ramones but didn't know how.

After the initial excitement has worn off, I'm asking myself how many times I would listen to disc 3 of this set.... or disc V

Why won't it play for me

After one listen, I am very very pleased. Trying to load for a second go-through and it's a no go right now.

I have to travel for work so can't see the Ottawa date. Debating getting off my ass and seeing Montreal. I do have tickets for the showing of the movie here.....

The box is up on Amazon.ca for $124 (plus all our Ontario taxes). Checked the .com site and it's listed for $170 right now. Does anybody remember when a new record was $3.99?

If you bought at Amazon and the price comes down again before it is released, they will generally charge you the lower price.

Amazon.com did have a presale at about $110 for a while. Now it's up to about $150. So far no sign of it on Amazon.ca.

All I can say is you people are so lucky you were not at the Ottawa Folk Festival last night. Sooooooooo many people carrying on conversations during acts. Not shouting out requests. Not whopping. Not texting Carrying out ongoing conversations. And at least in my opinion, both acts I saw (Hawksley Workman and Justin Townes Earle) were pretty friggin' engaging. Go to a bar, save yourself the ticket price, and let those of us there to see the show enjoy the show.

Is it only me or when Jeff says "enter the dragon" does it sound like he's in the next cublicle over and not in the clip at all?

I'm off to watch this again now.
