  1. Picked this up over the weekend. Damn, it's a strong record. I'm lovin' it. You've chosen my music for the ride home. Thank you.
  2. I'm stoked that we'll get board recordings of the DBT songs with the 400 Unit backing him.
  3. So young! http://www.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/Movies/04/...t.ap/index.html
  4. Well, I just found out I've got something more valuable than I thought. A copy of The Decemberists 'Castaways and Cutouts' on green vinyl just sold on ebay for $355, and 'The Tain/5 Songs' on grey and white vinyl sold for $105. I also forgot to add my Jay Ryan series of prints for Andrew Bird's Mysterious Production Of Eggs. Each individual print sells for about 10 times what they cost already. The package deal was a better investment than I could have imagined.
  5. I've got that one. Our friend was in a few Berkley area bands back then. He gave Lint guitar lessons, wrote guitar parts for OP IV with Lint (or for Lint, if you want to split hairs ), and played their last few shows as a second guitarist. He pulled out a box of records from under his bed and we nearly died. He had original pressings of everything under the sun, if not test presses. He was like "what? do you think these are worth anything?" I see now that the first Inquisition 7" is selling pretty well lately. I've got all their records, plus the original version of their first CD
  6. I have no idea what most of my stuff is worth, but the one thing I'm most curious about is my 17 song Anti-Flag demo tape of their first recordings. I've never seen it on ebay. Seeing as their latest record was produced by Tony Visconti (!!) I imagine a few people might be interested in it. My husband has TONS of demo tapes from punk and hardcore bands who went on to be pretty successful. I've got many punk records that I think are probably worth something but I'm not willing to part with them. A few years ago I weeded out the things I didn't care about and sold them. Besides, my husb
  7. I did too. I can't remember exactly what it was but it was something about Ronald Reagan. Trivial Pursuit didn't care.
  8. But he jumped from Democrat to Independent only because he lost. That's not a valid reason in my book.
  9. I heard this on NPR a couple days ago. Don't get me started on my opinions about Lieberman swinging from party to party. I personally felt that once he lost the CT Democratic primary he shouldn't have been allowed to switch to Independent status and run again. But that he did, still touting the Democratic priorities. And now, here he is, siding with a Republican.
  10. frOnk!! Tell him to come by and say hello!
  11. Yeah, like I "lured" you into anything!
  12. Yeah, this is when they were good.
  13. Someone at work made me a copy of this. I don't know if I like it or hate it. The guy's voice reminds me of a cross between Nick Cave, Johnny Cash, and that lounge singing Muppet. EDIT: It's like this guy has identity issues. Now I've heard Springsteen and Tom Waits impressions.
  14. My personal favorite was "That's a whole other bottle of whiskey, that's a whole other case of the blues". And I swear to god that line is right in the beginning of a sound clip, and I didn't go listening any further.
  15. There isn't too much music that makes me physically cringe upon hearing it. I can appreciate just about everything, even if it sucks, as long as it's evident that the artist is being sincere. BBT's songs were utter crap. Gotta be a case of friendship gone too far. I hope.
  16. Wow, thanks Drew!!! Did you go to all the NY shows?
  17. Billy Bob played on the Henry Rollins show and it was horrifying. He did this awful song called "Hobo". I don't know what was up with Rollins because I'd bet money that in private he would rip the guy to shreds for the hideous trash he was "performing".
