No he shouldn't. Nor should anyone else. Rod Stewart did excellent versions of Maybe I'm Amazed and I'm Losing You, among other things, but that doesn't earn him a pass for his later atrocities. Thanks for all the Manfred Mann (and related artists) knowledge, though. I'll try to check some of that stuff out. -
Glenn. Duh.

I'm going with Deerhunter. I like Deerhoof, but they can be a little too spastic for my tastes. I've only heard one Deer Tick song. Hated the vocals.

Doo Wah Diddy was a cover? Who did it originally? -

What are the other ones? Having only heard this atrocity, I never gave them the time of day to look into their other tunes. -
Probably the same thing they did while they were in the studio. Heroin.

Blinded by the light, wrapped up like a douche... -
This link has some MP3s of tracks Duane Allman played on during his time in Muscle Shaols. http://www.doctormooneymusic.com/2010/06/wail-on-skydog-duane-allman-muscle.html

Do your siblings have the same musical taste as you?

There is a little bit of overlap, but for the most part, no. I probably have more in common with my sister than my two brothers. -
Weren't you sayig "suck it up, midget" yesterday in the thread about tall people standing in front of short people?

I can sympathize. I've been surrounded by obnoxious twits at Wilco concerts many times. I usually have better luck at Wilco shows when I leave Atlanta to see them.

She should have gotten there earlier. Where'd they get the kiddy chair Obama appears to be sitting in?

"They’re the soy-latte house band of Starbucks." Does this mean you can buy their cd at Starbucks? Because, if you can, I will walk across the street right now and buy a copy.

Or the vests with no shirt underneath.

That's a good question. I can't think of any '50s star who was able to adapt into the '60s and continue as a current artist. Elvis sort of did it. Seems like they all either faded into the background, or rode their past glories as long as they could. I could see Buddy going into a career as a producer and songwriter, but it's hard to imagine him performing new music alongside the '60s acts. I guess he would have fit in better as a '60s country artist than a '60s pop/rock star.

Totally. Like the one where Archie Bunker came to babysit for Arnold and Willis.

I usually don't either, but I do sometimes (Lola, for instance). It occurrs to me that maybe LamNap has the vinyl and not a cd. In that case, I wonder if it's possible to intentionally scratch an album in such a way that it skips over the songs you hate. I need to start checking out the vinyl forums.

How is it possible you can type but cannot hit the skip button?
-
I don't know what you mean.
-
That would mean Wilco concerts are often a place to hear shitty art.
-
No.

four CDs, two vinyl LPs, two vinyl singles and a 60-page hardbound book I'd like that, too. On the low side, I'm gonna figure $12 per cd, $15-$20 per LP, and $5 per single. That's already in the $100 range, before factoring in the book. I'm guessing something like $200 for the deluxe set, as I assume my figures are too low.

This pretty much sums it up. Worst internet sensation of the decade.

No, it's fucking stupid. Be glad you don't know.
