im seeing them a week from friday in Boston, is this whole tour acoustic or will i be getting some electric tunes? i would be happy either way but would like to hear some of the electric stuff as well, also, how long is ryan's hand going to be out for?

FWIW, we got there last year after the people in line had already been let in and still ended up around the third row. Great venue...wish i was going (im only seeing Wilco twice next week).

I would second Crying of Lot 49 and also suggest DeLillo's White Noise. DeLillo is a big fan of Pynchon and you can see the influence so you may want to go for 49 first. Both are a bit difficult to get through (49 more so) but fun reads. I read them both for a literature class last semester and enjoyed both quite a bit.

I've always fantasized of YHF-style "Dont Think Twice its Alright" or any of those Dylan songs from that era really.

Dr. Dog are one of the best new bands around and their live show is a lot of fun. Definitely check out their newest one, Easy Beat is also great.

Not sure what you've heard but Neko is definitely on board for this album. I am listening to the title track right now, she sings lead on it and sounds awesome.

Just so you know, at this point pretty much every Wilco show that occurs is recorded.

Low seem to also dig Wilco as they cancelled a headlining tour on the west coast to come along for the ride.
