Tampa is now the second-best team in the AL East. Boston let their core position players get too old. If they can manage to get into the playoffs, their pitching will make them dangerous, but I think you can pencil in the Sox for 3rd in their division.

The only reason anybody talks through a show is that they don't care enough about the music to not talk through a show. I figure it's mostly people who got dragged to a show or went because everybody else was going. It makes me sad - I go to a lot of classical music concerts and NOBODY fucking talks, but that is a different societal norm up in those. In Hartford (I was there) the solution could have been to turn it up a bit - it was probably the least loud rock show I have ever been to, and the ability to easily talk over the music contributed to the chattiness, IMO.

I don't think I will be making this, due to my stupid class reunion being that weekend, but I think my sister is going. Flying into Albany International is, in my experience, not that cheap at all, certainly not when compared to major (like LGA or JFK) airports. There is a shit-ton of lodging in the Capital District, but it is, as was pointed out, a bit of a commute. The Berkshires in general are not calibrated for non-rich people.

McNabb is to the Eagles as Patrick Ewing was to the Knicks - a very good player who, unfairly, became the scapegoat for the team's failings. A bad move on Philly's part, as Vick is never going to be anything more than a halfback who throws interceptions. I KNEW when the Eagles got Vick that was basically "and don't let the door hit your ass on the way out" for McNabb. I wish Donovan a limited amount of luck in his new position.
