  1. That is - too bad you don't work for the NY Post.
  2. Collectively, maybe. Individually, I suppose most people could use between 50 and 200 grand, which takes your average person, what, eight or nine decades to save in reduced taxes? Will the foreclosers hold off that long? (Disclaimer: I am not exactly sure what proposal you are talking about.)
  3. Because people need to borrow more money than what they would be saving in their taxes?
  4. Bad stuff. Eighty dead (so far), attacks all over the city, Americans and westerners targeted. Looks like Islamic terrorists.
  5. No. I drive in that realm sometimes, and I still don't use my horn.
  6. I love TTRH. Buried Treasure is good too.
  7. I am most thankful for the love of my family and my friends, with which I can get through anything.
  8. New York Times loved it, which is good enough for me.
  9. NO. SHE'S MINE, uh, ours! (Seriously, there are a few people ahead of her in line for that gig, but Gov. Paterson may want to appoint an upstate person rather than a NYC person.)
  10. I blow the horn rarely or not at all.
  11. Vibes, man, from the safety of Dutchess County.
  12. I think Obama is doing fine. He's appointing people who know what the f that they are doing. Amy Goodman would freak out at anything less than the appointment of Ernesto "Che" Guevara as secretary of state. I did not like it when the righties were in charge, and while I would probably like many things about the lefties being in charge, many more people would not, and we are at a point in American history where we all really need to be on board if anything of substance is to be accomplished. The only way to do that is to play it pretty much down the middle. So free drugs, rock 'n' roll and fuck
  13. The Citi CEO was on Charlie Rose and he said what happened was too much money got invested in real estate in the U.S., which, he pointed out, hasn't really gone significantly down since the Great Depression, until now. He actually sounded a little pissed that people were upset about it. I would just call it Shea Stadium again, or maybe the Chinese will buy the naming rights and call it Mao Zedong Field.
  14. I don't have a regular listening sked for any Guns 'n' Roses track.
  15. Negotiations to put Beatles on iTunes stalled By The Associated Press November 25, 2008 9:39 AM LONDON - Paul McCartney says negotiations on a long-awaited deal to make the Beatles' catalog available on the online music service iTunes have stalled. "The last word I got back was it's stalled at the whole moment, the whole process," the former Beatle said Monday. "I really hope it will happen because I think it should." McCartney, who was speaking at the launch of his new album, Electric Arguments, added: "It's between EMI and the Beatles, I think." The band's holding company, Apple Corp
  16. Unless these fuckers are from where I am from, they spelled duchess wrong.
  17. Not really sure. That's a lot to think about. I like "War" better than "Achtung Baby," if that helps.
  18. I forgot to have my annual playing of "October" last month.
  19. Yes. At the very least, you should suck it up and fly commercial.
  20. Not really sure if this is the Bucs' path out of the baseball shitter: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/base...=rss_topstories
