Bless my soul, Tweedy's voice was porn. I spotted Maudie during the sans PA Acuff Rose first night at the Fillmore. Her face looked alot like mine did the second night for New Madrid standing in the same spot.

Aside from all of the drama, etc, I gotta send some love out to the opener for both the Wichita and Springfield shows. The Altered Statesmen were really quite good. I look forward to hearing more from that jazzy blues combo in the future.

During most of my concert going years, drinking alcohol was L7. Most everyone smoked marijuana back in the day, and that makes for a much less aggressive crowd. Just a thought. When I started seeing larger venue live shows again, my first was a Dave Matthews Band concert. The first several rows were college age kids talking through the entire show, as if DMB was there to play their own private soiree. I was exceedingly confused by this behavior.

I see a trend in the writers of sad bastard music. And it's the lyric combined with the delivery... Gram Parsons ~ Hot Burrito #1 Gram's vocal on this is heart wrenching.
