I saw that show in the video. It was a lot of fun. Also, saw them at Double Door in Chicago for their record (10" vinyl) release show. Both shows were captured on video and audio by the band. I don't think I've ever seen John with a wider grin on his face. The live band also included Mark Greenberg (one of the engineers on The Whole Love and new Loft manager). "Trouble's Coming Down" is on frequent rotation in my office. Little Steven voted that track 'song of the week' one week, last year. At the live shows John sang lead on a great cover of The Who's "Armenia City in the Sky".

I hear Jeff has been keeping his chops up by playing suburban living rooms all across Chicago.

I deduced the direct link to the SoundCloud hosted mp3 they are streaming. The URL changes periodically, so it will expire quickly. I use the Network tab of the Chrome browser web dev inspector to get the link. Anyone can use that.

I vividly remember attending that show. Sitting in the grass close to the stage. They were only two guys on a big stage in front of a somewhat large and spread out crowd in Welles Park. I think I remember the sun setting behind them as they played. I was so glad when this sbd recording started circulating. It sure is a fun listen and illustrates quite a different era for Wilco/Tweedy.

While it would not be CD quality it would be good enough to enjoy - YES you can rip it via an audio capture program called Audio Hijack. It will capture the stream as a wav or mp3. Then you can put on your iPod or burn to CD.

It is a very simple process, especially if you have a Mac and d/l xACT. It will convert FLAC directly to mp3s. If you do it, think of it like the "pay it forward" principle. If you do it and then share the mp3 version others can benefit. Just like the tapers who "pay it forward" by taping the show and sharing their FLACs with us.

Yes, Nick has played a handful of times in Chicago the past few years. I've seen him solo acoustic at Park West and The Green Mill 2008 (also attend by Mr. Sansone), plus full band at Old Town. I talked to him after the Monday show and he said that he was working out a U.S. tour for the Spring of 2012 and that Chicago would most likely be on the list. He actually asked about other venues that might be good for him. We suggested Lincoln Hall. Later I realized I should have suggested SPACE.

I highly doubt a webcast will happen for this run. Though it might be possible that WXRT is going to surprise us with a broadcast of one of the smaller shows that are left. They broadcast one of the 2008 residency shows.

Technically the 11/17/1994 show was billed as Black Shampoo, right? Maybe Jeff meant the first official, properly booked and promoted Wilco show was in Minneapolis.
