  1. i am saving up money to spend at the merch table in Atlanta. may even spend a bit of my tax refund.
  2. Last night's episode was really fantastic! I am so excited how things are starting to come together.
  3. i laughed really hard at this post. what did you think of the self-titled record? most of the songs grew on me after a while. Obladi, Oblada has always been one of my favorite Beatles songs, just because of the story telling side of it. Plus it's fun to dance around the house to when home alone.
  4. Via Chicago Hell Is Chrome Pieholden Suite Ashes of American Flags (banter "Hi, how ya doing?") You Never Know You Are My Face Shot In The Arm Bull Black Nova Company In My Back Impossible Germany Sunken Treasure Why Would You Wanna Live? Deeper Down I Am Trying To Break Your HeartPoor Places Reservations ----------------------------- Red-Eyed And Blue I Got You The Good Part Hate It Here In A Future Age ----------------------------- Pot Kettle Black Always In Love The Lonely 1 i would die happy if that was played in Atlanta verbatim.
  5. Just heard a bit of "Wilco )the song)" as buffer music on CBS's morning show!
  6. i hope that one stays around. made me laugh really hard. i think those e-trade babies are funny, but babies telling adult jokes tend to make me giggle, ie- stewie in family guy. there was this local commercial that kept coming on for a car dealership, where they were doing the austin powers thing, and it was so creepy the next time it came on i left the room. local car dealerships commercials are without question, the worst commercials ever!
  7. i love that hoodie too. though mine it sorta purple now from being washed i think my favorite shirt is probably the Wii-lco one, or the red one from SBS with the tennis shoes on the line
  8. being as i missed much of seasons 4 and 5 i am one lost puppy. gonna have to catch up.
  9. Funny how you say you were scared to read it cos of Chapman. I was too. I was scared I was going to be crazy like him if I read it, seriously. For years i wouldn't read it, then learned the Old 97's song "Roller Skate Skinny" had references to it, and Rhett isn't nuts, so I figured it was safe to read.
  10. FWIW, i thought it was funny. i'm sure my teachers would not be amused though.
  11. One True Vine would be AMAZING! But, then there's no sheet music. I'm not even sure the stuff in the song book will work, but it's earth shattering that my teacher would even consider it. True. I had to sing a song 3 semesters back about a dead baby though. So sometimes classical music is harsh too, a lot of the stuff they pick for me to sing tends to be a bummer though. I do think sunken treasure would be a winner though.
  12. i actually considered that, minus the drone, but couldn't find sheet music. i think at this point i am going with "ALTWYS" or "Sunken Treasure". gonna show both to my teacher tomorrow.
  13. Right, I think Jesus Etc. is a bit to fast for what my teacher wants to do. It's at 112bpm I think. I also thought about "Poor Places", but I am scared my teacher won't like the lyrics. I pretty much had to skip 50% of the songs that are even in the song book based on lyrical content. Unfortunately, Misunderstood would not be well received on a classical bill. I think ALTWYS would be kinda neat, because there's a repeat in it, so I could sing the verse twice or something.
  14. I am a music major in school, and for the last 3 years I have been forced to sing Italian arias and crummy little art songs. I mean it's okay, and I've learned a ton, and actually loved quite a few of the pieces, but just as many make me cringe. Today, in my 3rd lesson with my new teacher, she suggested I sing a musical theatre song. I can't stand musical theatre stuff, and explained my reasons. She said "Well, what about a pop song, like a Beatles song or something?" I said the Beatles would be awesome, but the keys a lot of those songs are written in aren't ideal for the female voice. I sugg
  15. Bull Black Nova would be amazing! I think they will do Sonny Feeling or I'll Fight. I kinda hope they don't do You and I
  16. i've worn glasses since i was 9, and i can't imagine not wearing them... they're part of who i am i think. i can see how the surgery might be useful if you have to work in a very labor intensive job where you're upside or something for long periods of time like my dad and his friend who work on air conditioners...my dad's friend actually had it done a year or 2 ago, and i don't think he's had any major issues other than he has to carry eye drops with him.
  17. i'm excited about it too. at my house we've always run pc, but 2 years ago i bought my macbook, and now i hate working on the pc at home. granted, i don't really know how to DO much on my mac other than import into itunes, surf the interweb, and type school work in pages.
  18. i've met Jay, and found him to be very approachable.
