I agree. I only got to watch the two extra periods and then the kicks...but what an awful way to end what seemed like a good match.

Yeah PK isn't the best way to end but it is fair and it is not stupid. Get a clue and it is quite exciting way to end a game too and the team that played better all game won so it is just.

Same dumb principle behind the shootout in hockey. Even pro football, which doesn't have the fairest OT scenario in the regular season, is smart enough to let 'em keep playing in the playoffs.

It is much better than someone winnning on a bullshit call after playing for over 180 minutes of a game. A shootout is fair and exciting. Comparing it to NFL overtime is just plain idoitic but what do you expect from Shawn.

Don't think it really needs explaining but I'll make it real simple for you. You're taking a wonderful sport of skill where goals are very hard to come by and usually take great amounts of teamwork and deciding it on whether or not a goalie can guess the right way. Brilliant.
