Prayers and peace to your family. I didn't mean to start up some debate about illegal aliens. If I hadn't been actually working the past 4 hours or so I would have popped in to clarify. The "illegal alien" reference was only included in an informational capacity, as I figured if this case has gained any national coverage at all, it was probably due to an illegal alien being involved, because, as has been displayed on the board today, some don't really give a shit if a cop gets killed--and I guess I figured including that phrase would trigger a recollection... If I were intending to go after the accused murderer for his illegal alien status, you would have known it, as it would have read more like "...after being murdered by a no good dirtbag illegal alien who wasn't even supposed to BE here today" --or something to that effect. jeez you guys, I figured at least someone would have presented a way to blame Bush for the officer's death since the federal government is charged with protecting our borders and this particular individual slipped through that virtually impenetrable barrier. How's this then: since I am the knower of my intent, let me be unequivocal in stating that my post about the fallen officer had no political intent or underlying theme. I looked at the Houston Chronicle headline online, remembered the story, felt bad for the guy's family, and felt like saying so in a post. The accused murderer happened to be an illegal alien. It was a statement of fact, nothing more. If I had wanted to make a political statement, I would have done so through text, not subtext. It would be so refreshing if the energy some of you (not directed at EL EL COOL F) spend in imposing or ascribing prejudice, biggotry or ill-will to people you don't know could be devoted to giving someone the benefit of the doubt now and then.
