Epiphone Les Paul

banged up old Silvertone that was sitting around the Jayhawks's practice space that they autographed and gave to me :)

I also have a cheapo Harmony acoustic that I hate...I'm jonesing for a Martin

That Danelectro/Silvertone has been some places and seen some stuff! Very Cool.

Thats me and my guitar. ANd our beatles throne in the background.

Hey I just bought that guitar, and I LOVE it, got a great price and they threw in a great case.

Through my little Valve pro Jr. with the Surf and Turf Dan electro compression, sounds insane!!

I own older, more expensive and "better" guitars both electric and acoustic. but this rig is my sound. ILOVE IT :rock

Tried to take some pictures to show off my blue Tele last night. Turns out that a shitty camera phone combined with a poorly lit apartment makes it look black no matter what you do.

Anyway, it pretty much looks like this:

and my acoustic looks a whole lot like this:

I've got way too many guitars.

Electric:

Gretsch 6120

Fender Jaguar

Fender custom Tele w/two splitting humbuckers

Fender Strat

Fender Tele Thinline '72 reissue

Fender Tele (red, mid-80s I think, beaten senseless)

Fender Tex-Mex Tele

Fender Nashville Tele w/Fishman piezo built-in to bridge

Line 6 Variax

Acoustic:

1936 Martin nylon string (very beaten up)

Gretsch Rancher Jumbo

Gretsch Rancher mini-Jumbo (these Gretsches are my workhorses... they average 5 gigs/week and are still going strong)

Yamaha 6-string (late 70s, don't know much more about it)

Bass:

Danelectro Longhorn

Fender Jazz Bass

Lap Steel:

1937 Gretsch 6-string

1951 National 6-string

1953 National 8-string (my pride & joy)

boatload of amps, fx, etc... I guess you just accumulate a lot of shit when you've been playing for a quarter-century (o my god!!!!)

well, after Mart's post anything else is pretty pathetic, but:

i should take actual photos of mine sometime, but:

old acoustic, Takamine GS330S. really cheap guitar but it served me very well for a number of years and still sounds good. i need to reglue the bridge on it thougH:

my newest baby:

SWDGT.jpg

Martin SWDGT. i was looking at Guild's, went into the store and played a few that i'd been eyeing. they were OK, but for $350 more i started playing this one and fell in love with it. it lists for $1799, they had it marked to $999. Ended up getting it for $899. i've never owned a really nice acoustic before, pretty damn happy with it. it's a lot prettier in person than any of the photos i've found of it online.

my electrics:

FenderBH.JPG

50's Reissue Japanese Strat. Buddy Holly's guitar, i didn't plan it that way ;)

newest electric:

telerosewood.jpg

Reissue Rosewood Tele. Somewhat similiar to Harrison's all rosewood Tele. I about cried the first time i laid eyes on it at Willie's Guitars :guitar

my main amp:

hot_rod_deluxe.jpg

Fender Deluxe

practice amp:

glad you feel that way, deepsea, I guess I do as well. ;)

Kyle, that hot rod deluxe is fantastic, ain't it? So versatile, and the price is right, so you don't feel bad if it falls off the side of the stage (it still works just fine!) Been using it like crazy of late with a pod xtlive for fx (easy to carry, remembers settings, makes life less complicated)

I used to have a Tele, but I sold it off, probably for too cheap.

I have a Sparkling Gold Finish Epiphone Casino with a Lyre Vibrola instead of the normal bridge. I think it's a '94. 182029.jpg Except Sparkling Gold, not Natural.

I also have a Seagull Artist Series Acoustic. I don't know exactly what it is, but I love the thing to death. I think it's this: gtrmosaic.jpg

"Crawling back to you now, I sold my guitar to the girl next door."

OK, not the girl next door, but my beloved 76 Les Paul Custom, black w/ nickel hardware, is gone forever because I foolishly sold it.

The best sounding acoustic I ever owned (late 70s Alvarez-Yairi dreadnaught) is gone as well...

I have no real guitars anymore, I recently returned a mediocre mexican tele I had oin loan from a friend...

I seem to be aqcuiring amplifgiers nonetheless...

I recently put my hands on a 64-65 era Ampeg reverberocket-2 combo in phenomenal condition...

As for rebuilding the guitar collection, I am looking for pawn shop steals and cast offs from friends...

Here's a pic of the Tele I just modded. I was considering a 52 RI but I hate the color of the new ones, most are a really weird pumpkin orange color. So I built this 2006 50's Tele instead. It's a poly finish but I think it feels better than most of the similar US Fender's I've recently played. I scored a pretty good deal on it too, with the mods I'm in it around $600 which is less than a new one.

P1180041.jpg

This is what I did to it.

Fender CS Texas Tele pups

US Fender 4 way switch

Rothstein wiring upgrade with NOS cloth wire, CTS pots, Switchcraft jack and Hovland cap.

Copper foil shielding

52 RI bridge

brass compensated saddles

52 RI black guard

52 RI control plate

It sounds amazing.

Here are some of my guitars. Fender P-Bass, Rickenbacker 360/12, Rickenbacker 360/6 WB, Aria Pro II (my first electric as a kid, back in '83!) Fender '59 Reissue, Paul Reed Smith Hollowbody Spruce Top with Piezo System, Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 Ten Top (from Annapolis), and Fender Stratocaster Deluxe.

2007Guitars.jpg

Here are most of my pedals. The chain goes like this: Ernie Ball Volume pedal-->Fulltone Clyde Deluxe Wah-->Fulltone '69 (for Fuzzface tones)-->Fulltone Fulldrive II Mosfet Edition, Custom Shop-->Fulltone OCD-->Crowther Audio Hot Cake-->MXR Phase 90-->Crowther Audio Prunes & Custard-->Boss tuner. I keep the JangleBox on top of my amplifier and engage it by hand when I use my Rickenbacker 12 string. I use the Boss Loop Station to work out harmony parts and leads. Toys!
