5 best shows in circulation

Recommended Posts

I'm somewhat new to Wilco, about 3 years new. I have some of their live shows from various sources but would love to collect more. In your opinion, what are their Top 5 shows in circulation? If anyone is down for a little trade action, I have plenty of Umphrey's McGee, random Radiohead, Grateful Dead, all of the Live Phish series, and tons of other random shows including The Band, Beastie Boys, Zeppelin and others. Just let me know what you're looking for and chances are I have at least one show. Back to Wilco though, I'm really excited to start collecting and listening to all your favorites. Thanks!

I really like the 10/7/95 when it comes to early shows. Bennett is really ON on that one.

7/4/01--probably the most played show in my collection.

My personal favorite is the first show I saw, but that's because it was my first show, and as close to an out of body experiance as I've ever had.

Thomas Wolf Auditorium- Asheville, NC- 10-14-05

I will back you up on this show. I was not there, but the energy that comes across on the tape is awesome and the recording is pretty sweet as well(thanks ashevillian). Also, what a sweet venue! :thumbup

Limiting myself to shows that are (1) the current lineup and (2) I attended:

06 07 04 Poughkeepsie NY Chance AUD (raw Tertiary Market Show post rehab and early Nels)

09 18 04 Austin TX Stubbs AUD (Lonliness > Magazine, the Calexico horns for Cali Stars and ITMWLY, and one of the cleanest AUDs ever)

06 23 05 Phila PA Penns Landing AUD (Shoe in the Dryer, Just a Kid and MMJ opens)

09 24 05 Austin TX Stubbs AUD (Tulsa sucks, and the Lone Star kingers induced the crowd into the off key singalong championship show)

04 19 06 Slayerville NJ Starland AUD (Angry Jeff - I am harboring ill will towards YOU, but he loves Springsteen)

And one Jeff solo:

11 12 05 Grantham PA Messiah College AUD (Blue Eyed Soul, nuff said)

Glad to trade any of the them

By the way, I am in eternal search of:

- the SBD from the 06 07 04 Poughkeepsie show (I know it exists)

- the SBD from the 06 23 05 Phila PA Penns Landing (it may exist)

- any recording of the 10 22 2002 Philadelphia Electric Factory (AUD is out there, SBD not so sure)
