I put in the CD and a quicktime window opens up that says I need to enable flash, click here for instructions. clicking here takes me to this really helpful site:

http://wilcoworld.net/sbs/support/index.php

so, uh, I still don't have it.

Open Quicktime Player.

Edit > Preferences > Quicktime Preferences

Go to the Advanced tab.

Under Media Types, check "Enable playback of Adobe Flash tracks."

Click Apply and/or OK.

I have a Mac and QuickTime 7.1.6.

that stuff doesn't seem to be an option for me. :(

System Preferences (Either in your Applications folder or in the apple menu at the top left of your screen)

Then click on Quicktime

Go to the "Advanced" Tab at the top of the window

Then check the box that says "Enable Flash"

P.S. You should have said you had a mac earlier!

I thought the world knew. ;)

Thanks. I have now fixed that. Why the heck isn't that in the preference pane in the the actual app?

since apple makes osx and quicktime and you will (for most people) always have quicktime installed on a mac, they figure they can put it in with the rest of their preferences.

This came out really nice in the studio, pretty freakin awesome.

ahem, Dream SBS tracklist:

1. You Are My Face

2. The Thanks I Get

3. Sky Blue Sky

4. Impossible Germany

5. Side With the Seeds

6. Let's Not Get Carried Away

7. Please Be Patient With Me

8. Let's Fight

9. Walken

10. Leave Me Like You Found Me

11. Hate it Here

12. On and On and On

The Thanks I Get would be the single instead of What Light, One True Vine as b-side still. What Light/Shake It Off/Either Way can become bonus tracks/never see the light of day (for all I care anyway :ninja )

I think they decided to save the best songs for the B-sides!

Yes.

Maybe they thought it wasn't boring beautiful enough and didn't want to scare off the new grandma contingent from Reader's Digest. Oh well. I guess I just don't understands the Wilco no more.

I can't resist a "me too" email...this sounds great. First "One True Vine", now this: two of the best songs from the sessions get buried as b-sides...a real shame. This would have gotten a lot more exposure than "What Light" as a first single. Oh well, happy to have it in any case.

Thanks for this. I was having trouble figuring it out, but now it works.

The song sounds great. :)
