sharkycharming
My top 10 shifts with my mood, but Wilco's been somewhere on that list since Being There came out.Right now, yes, they are in the #1 spot.
Wilco Worshipper
Indeed!!! Top band since 2000...and always will be. I make my friends and family quite sick of it actually...hehe  And I really dig all the side projects, too

Chendizzle
I don't really know. Probably not. They've been slowly slipping for a while. Itunes reveals all: While SBS I went through two weeks ago, I last listened to YHF in April, AGIB and Summerteeth in March and eons ago for BT and AM. I'll still pay to see them or Jeff every time they are in my area though.
you ever seen a ghost?
granted you are busy with your own music career, right Mr. Mercer? -justin
So Long
Wilco is indeed my favorite band, followed by Elvis Costello, The Beatles, and Jim O'Rourke.
Chris_H_2
Second favorite . . . just behind Pearl Jam (which is the band that really opened up my eyes to music (right place at the right time)).
benjamin
Wilco is a extremely close 2nd to Radiohead.... oops 3rd I mean. The Beatles trump all. But that's a given isn't it?
Sir Stewart
The Beatles trump all. But that's a given isn't it?I would have thought so.
OOO
Wilco is a extremely close 2nd to Radiohead.... oops 3rd I mean. The Beatles trump all. But that's a given isn't it? These would be the three bands that popped into my head if I had to pick. But yeah, the Beatles trump.

WilcoFan
I don't really know. Probably not. They've been slowly slipping for a while. Itunes reveals all: While SBS I went through two weeks ago, I last listened to YHF in April, AGIB and Summerteeth in March and eons ago for BT and AM. I'll still pay to see them or Jeff every time they are in my area though.  I definitely see them every time they come through. Last year I don't think I spun a Wilco CD even once. This year I have listened to the all.
moxiebean
My favorite active band; on the shortlist of all-time favorites behind the Clash, early REM, Husker Du, X, ...
theologians
Not sure you can necessarily compare the "greatness" of old bands like the beatles and wilco, but i think of the last 20/30 years or so wilco is way way up there. For me, personnaly i think they are number one. The biggest arguement i have for them is that you can listen to Wilco doing anything--working out, relaxing/going to sleep, driving, playing guitar with, singing to--and it always seems to be perfectly intune with what you are doing. This goes without saying, but Jeff Tweedy is an absolute song-writing genius. His musical ideas get portrayed beautifully in all of his work.
tongue-tied
between 04 and 07 they were my favorite active band. at some point during that time, probably at some late hour when listening to AGIB and thinking it was the greatest album of all time, i'd have placed them above the late greats Beatles and Clash. now i'd say they're top 5 in the active roster, top 10 in the all time. Chendizzle
Led Zeppelin used to be my favorite, then it was Wilco, now if you put a gun to my head I'd say Elliott Smith. But it begs the question, am I just keep burning out on different artists or is my musical pallet just expanding? Who knows.
be my demon
Definitely my favorite other than all the givens (Beatles, Led Zeppelin, etc).
H to the ickle
Yeah, they're my favorite.
mfwahl
If I'm going on record I have to say: 1. Bob Dylan2. The Band3. Wilco4. Pavement btw Mavis Staples is gonna be on Conan tonight if anyone cares. If you've seen Last Waltz you know you want to see it.
cooperissup3r
Just wondering how many of you would consider Wilco to be your utmost favorite band. i'd say they're my favorite "modern" band. as in..bands playing/touring today.  i listened to all of YHF today and just loved every minute of it. haven't done that in a very long while. and i'm really enjoying SBS more with every listen.
