Mr. Kinsley
Maybe his trainer sprinkled steroids on his sundaes.Genius! That's the perfect cover! Get totally ripped on steroids, but hid all the muscles under an imense layer of blubber.
MrRain422
What's the source for that list of players anyway? Is it at all credible?
ZenLunatic
Sheffield says that steroids are only something that get injected into your butt. He used the cream and the clear, but doesn't consider them to be steroids because he didn't get a shot in the ass. There is a topical steriods? Wow. Dont see that working as well. Nothing beats a shot in the ass for muscle building.

ZenLunatic
Have you been following the Balco/Bonds story at all? no, did bonds use topical steriods? cause i assumed he likes it in the ass.
Sir Stewart
Zen - you weren't being sarcastic with the Sheff thing?
ZenLunatic
Zen - you weren't being sarcastic with the Sheff thing? Nah, I dont really know what kind of person Sheffield is. Just saw an interview where he totally ripped on steriods use and proclaimed with force that he would and have never used steriods. I'm not a fan of his or anything. Just thought why would someone go that far to one side if he was using steriods. Maybe he is and that was his stupid way of trying to protect himself. I'm not protecting or sticking up for him at all. I just remember the interview.
caliber66
When I was in middle school, I swore up and down to anyone who would listen that I did not like Jennifer Alexander. But secretly I did.
MrRain422
Sheff was sincere, but he's also really dumb. He really doesn't believe those things were steroids.

MrRain422
There was a big thing in Sports Illustrated a couple years back about Bonds, and Sheffield was quoted heavily. They trained together during the off-season one year. Apparently Bonds treated him like total shit, so he didn't mind selling him out, but he admitted in that article that Bonds's trainers gave him some stuff that were probably the clear and the cream, and he just assumed they were standard balms that you apply to injuries and such. Unlike Bonds, I think I believe Sheff when he says he didn't know they were steroids at the time, especially since he has such a weird view of what "steroids" are. He's been forthcoming about his use of those things, he just disputes what they are.
ZenLunatic
It says at least 50 players to be named. Cmon already. I wanna know. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20071213/ts_nm/...mDntBOjOYcE1vAI

Besides, baseball players aren't really known for being the brainiacs of the sporting world.

MattZ
In all seriousness, I wonder what it will mean for the people NOT on the list. I mean, just because they arent on the list doesnt mean they didnt do it. so is everyone tainted, end of story? or is someone like ARod (if he isn't on the list) held up as an even BETTER player because he put up those numbers while not on the juice? Sigh. Such a shame that we even have to talk about this crap.
caliber66
Julian Tavares? I didn't realize steroids made you look like Freddy Kruger.

Mr. Kinsley
cmon this is funThis must be what it feels like at a public hanging, the chit-chat in the crowd as we wait for the condemned to climb the gallow's steps. in other random news, I'm just realizing that my desk here is lightly swarming with ants. Maybe time to snack less while VC'ing.

Yeah, it feels somewhat like that. I dont think the list is everything and end of story or A-rod is any better cause he didnt use roids. It does put a great fear into anyone trying to break the rules. I just like to hear who was caught and how it will effect baseball.
MrRain422
I'm still curious to what extent the report will blame management, ownership, etc. or if all of the blame will be placed on the players.
explodo
Julian Tavares? I didn't realize steroids made you look like Freddy Kruger. I'm really shocked by this one. Not like he ever showed any kind of rage or anything.
