Lammycat
Iowa's got nothing (except Slipknot) but I like a band from Des Moines called The Nadas the best....Greg Brown and his daughter Pieta Brown. Greg's married to Iris Dement, too.David Zollo The above may not be household names, but Greg Brown's been around for awhile and is well known and respected on the Folk circuit. Zollo is a fantastic 30-something musician that also runs a record label in Iowa (Brown's on it). Tommy Bolin is from Iowa, as well. markosis
Skid Row - Music Group (Toms River)Â Is that for real? Tom's River is like the middle of nowhere. Craziness. That actually reminds me that Twisted Sister is from Jersey, they played their first gig in Cookstown, which is also the middle of nowhere.

That actually reminds me that Twisted Sister is from Jersey, they played their first gig in Cookstown, which is also the middle of nowhere. Umm, I wouldn't call the County Seat of Ocean County and the huge town right off the Parkway that every thousands upon thousands of NYers have to drive through to get the Shore (Seaside Heights) in the middle of nowhere. Crappy town, yes...middle of nowhere, not so much. Glad someone mentioned Dramarama in the Jersey group. They were a great 80s Jersey band (even though people might think of Cali cuz they moved out there to make it big...ha), and I still listen to alot of their old shit. Actually my friend told me last night at the Tower show that they played on Ellen's show recently (apparently she's a huge fan). Reminds when I saw Dino Jr and The Lemonheads both perform on Jenny Jones and I almost passed out.
