I need to do some shopping based on some of these lists. Constantines and Sun Kil Moon are most definitely on my horizon.
pnêyu
Thanks for the reminder about Kelley Stoltz! That's what I get for missing his Noise Pop show. And T, you know your girl Basia Bulat is on the BSP record, right? (I mean, not prominently featured or anything, but she's mentioned in the liner notes.)

Doug
I think the only 2008 releases I've bought so far are Malkmus (good but probably not something I'm going to listen to a lot) and Robert Pollard (not all that good, frankly). I'll be getting the new Psycho and the Birds CD any day now, and that's supposed to be pretty good. But there's a bunch of sure-to-be-great stuff coming out later this year that I'm really looking forward to: Centro-matic/South San Gabriel (woo hoo!!!; I can't fuckin' wait for this thing)My Morning JacketBeatnik FilmstarsRobert Pollard (the next one has GOT to better than the last one)M. WardCapstan Shafts Plus, there's the upcoming Pavement and Sebadoh reissues!!! YES!!!

rghammo
The only ones I've listened to enough to know will rank for the year (in rough order): Hayden - In Field & TownKathleen Edwards - Asking For FlowersBritish Sea Power - Do You Like Rock Music?Vampire Weekend - Vampire WeekendShe & Him - Volume OneFleet Foxes - Ragged Wood. Is the Jamie Lidell better than the last one? I thought it was really inconsistent so I haven't bother to check the new one out.
