Queen's Flash Theme is way better than anything Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, or Tom Waits have ever put out.

Smashing Pumpkins are an amazing live band.

Jeff Tweedy, Billy Corgan, Robert Smith, and Jack White could make the best supergroup and last forever.

U2, Sublime, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and The Doors are all terrible.

Pearl Jam sucks

Ween is the best live band EVER.

I hate how nobody on this forum seems to know or appreciate Ween.

Phish is overrated and have gone downhill ever since their first album. Junta.

They are also not nearly as good live as everyone says.

But the most overrated artist of all time is Lou Reed. It's all garbage.

My Morning Jacket tries so hard to be great that they have no clue how to be good.

Drive By Truckers has never written a good song.

Guided By Voices > Beatles. Really.

Grant Hart wrote more good songs in Husker Du than Bob Mould.

Hair Metal > Grunge.

All Reggae is boring as shit.

You can go into any bar in New Jersey on a Saturday night and hear some cover band guitar player who is 10 times better than Eric Clapton.

World Music blows.

and Coldplay is total shit

Funny. Im one that is actually in the "Clapton is overrated" camp and I love Clapton. But I must say that I watched some of that shit he did on that tour with Winwood this year and it was phenomenal.

I dont agree with any of the other garbage you posted except maybe the world music crap but i love Fema and Fela so im not sure where that falls

Ween is a novelty band. There I said it.

While we're on the topic of novelty music, Flight of the Conchords have written some of the best songs in years... joke songs or not.

Also: George Harrison's last album is the best album by a Beatle since All Things Must Pass.

Since there are so many on here that believe Radiohead have gone downhill or suck I will say my piece on Radiohead. Radiohead is better than Wilco (not by much though but Sky Blue Sky, W(TA) didn't help their cause in my book)! My three favorite bands are REM, Radiohead then Wilco! Radiohead are not overrated and deserve all the praise they get. Pablo Honey is awesome too!

Henry Rollins is just a poor man's Jello Biafra, who is just a poor man's (or Californian's) Johnny Rotten.

Sorry Todd, I'#m not a massive fan of any of them but Rollins rules over Rotten anyday!

-sigh- You're not right.

Listen, even if five people had Quebec in their top 20 albums, I would still stand by my original statement that Ween is generally underrated. And in a place like Via Chicago (where there are so many people who know their shit about music), I just wished more people would appreciate them. That's all.

Colin Moulding is at least the equal of Andy Partridge as a songwriter; on some albums he's better.

And:

Lovesexy is one of the best 3 or 4 records that Prince ever made.

I've always thought that one was very underrated along with "Parade."

I can understand that. I was just arguing against your original blanket statement "nobody on this forum seems to know or appreciate Ween." That said: though I like them a lot, I can also understand why people don't get Ween. All the 'brown' and 'boognish' stuff can give the impression they're a joke band.

I have a thing where I can get into any song (that I wouldn't normally enjoy) if I pretend it's Ween. I think that's a testament to their versatility.
