Sir Stewart
I guess I can tear up my Vegas bet for Manny the 2009 HR king.
mfwahl
"Recently I saw a physician for a personal health issue. He gave me a medication, not a steroid, which he thought was OK to give me," Ramirez said. "Unfortunately, the medication was banned under our drug policy. Under the policy that mistake is now my responsibility. I have been advised not to say anything more for now. "I do want to say one other thing; I've taken and passed about 15 drug tests over the past five seasons. I want to apologize to [Dodgers owner Frank] McCourt, Mrs. McCourt, [manager Joe] Torre, my teammates, the Dodger organization, and to the Dodger fans. LA is a special place to me and I know everybody is disappointed. So am I. I'm sorry about this whole situation."

myboyblue
He's saying it was related to a non-steroid, medication that his Dr. presribed. If so, 50 games seems a bit steep. I'm guessing he's leaving a little bit and piece out.
Sir Stewart
Now I want to move to LA and try to hang out with Manny for the next two months.

It may seem steep, but it's the policy.

bobbob1313
I am shocked. Just shocked. Manny always seemed like such a class act. I've always been very interested in the way people percieve Manny, and this seems like the general consensus amongst fans (along with your "manny is an idiot post".) However, really what has he done to earn this? "Gave up" on the Red Sox (to the tune of like a .450 OBP in his final month with them, I wish all players gave up like that)? Took a leak in the monster? Seriously, I'm honestly curious why you think he is dumb and a douchebag. From all accounts from teammates he works as hard as anyone before the game, he just likes to have fun during the game (sacreligious to 'purists') and he's kind of aloof in interviews. I don't get the incindieary feels towars him. Also, as with all steroid related cases, I don't care too much. Hey, an elite player took steroids (probably). Oh no!
W(TF)
Whoa did they get Manny back?! That overrated junkie dweeb? Nah. Can't stand him. It's been safe to be a Bosox fan again since he been gone.
