Sweet Papa Crimbo
Strawberry Fields or Happiness is a Warm Gun After the nailing of Broken Arrow, it is apparent that this band has the ability, touch, taste and chops to handle songs of any complexity that they choose. That being said, I would love to hear this band tackle the Medley from Abbey Road. Strike that. The entire second Side of Abbey Road (for you youngsters who don't remember music before cds that would be the stretch from Here Comes the Sun through The End. Central Scrutinizer
Not that great of a song, but I could hear the band give "She's So Heavy" from Abbey Road a AGIB treatment. (I think the Abbey Road medley would be kinda Phishy)
mclain13
"A Day In The Life" is easily one song that everytime I hear I think, WILCO would destroy this.
drop dead ed
I think Nels Cline will give a whole new meaning to Helter Skelter. Of course, I think Tweedy is a bit too old to do the song though. Maybe when he was belting out "nothing's" with no ease early in his career. Â I'd have to get with Rocky Racoon
newbornghost
Basically, I'm in agreement with all the Abbey-Road medly fans. I would love to see Wilco do the whole musical costume thing for a Halloween show. Either The White Album or Abbey Road would suit them very well.

mahinty
I'm currently in a Let it Be (an often under-rated album, IMO) phase, and can totally imagine Wilco covering "Across the Universe" or "Don't Let Me Down"
Plumplechook
"I Should Have Known Better". Jeff would kill on Lennon's harmonica riff. And I insist on them wearing Beatles suits circa '64 for the performance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2d3k3Y2qkwo
sgtpepper64
I think "Hey Bulldog" which is an extremely underrated and under-known (not a real phrase) Beatles song would be awesome!
Shakey
I Should Have Know Better the best Beatle song
choo-choo-charlie
Let it Be (an often under-rated album, IMO) YES. I think "Hey Bulldog" which is an extremely underrated and under-known (not a real phrase) Beatles song would be awesome! And YES.

Central Scrutinizer
Can we stretch it to former Beatles? "Cold Turkey."
JohnO
Rain, Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown), The Word, I'm Only Sleeping, I Should Have Known Better
Guest Speed Racer
"Cold Turkey." I'm Only Sleeping There are live version of both of these circulating. JP, their former road guy, sings Cold Turkey, and the cover of I'm Only Sleeping is a Jeff solo venture, but both are fantastic.

I need to delve into wilcobase! I still like my idea of "I Want You (She's So Heavy) done AGIB-fashion. I may be in the minority, but "Across the Universe" really soured me to Beatles covers. It takes a special kind of musician to not fuck it up. That being said, I enjoy both "Helter Skelter" and "Come Together" as performed by Aerosmith, and "I'm Down" isn't all that bad either. Shakey
I can think of lots of Lennon songs I'd like to hear Wilco cover. But not many McCartney songs.
