Duck-Billed Catechist
The Nationals are starting Stephen Strasburg in AA, presumably to get another year of service time. He should be up in June or thereabouts. The White Sox, on the other hand, are probably breaking camp with a 26 year-old rookie at the back of the pen.Sergio Santos is going to play in the major leagues with fewer professional innings pitched than Strasburg because he's out of options. He's a converted shortstop who, other than a high K rate, never had success pitching in the minor leagues. He's pitched quite well in spring training. The one time I saw him on TV I thought his stuff was impressive. http://www.thebaseballcube.com/pitching/S/Sergio-Santos.shtmlhttp://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20100325&content_id=8934750&vkey=news_cws&fext=.jsp&c_id=cws

The High Heat
Ha - that explains why they were willing to trade Francoeur for Ryan Church. Two teams trading players listed as after-season non-tenders. It worked out for the Mets though. After taking a season off Jim Edmonds made the Brewers squad as a reserve. Cliff Lee may not be ready for opening day as he is suffering from an abdominal strain. The Mariners may still place him on the opening day roster, thereby letting him serve his five game suspension for throwing over the head of a D-back two weeks ago, and then place him on the DL if necessary. The Mariners are still having discussions with FA Jarrod Washburn, but he won't be ready until almost May if he signs.

u2roolz
Braves prospect busted in prostitution sting. Supposed to turn two, not tricks. Ok. So I guess your manager doing cocaine is alright?! But being busted for a prostitute is a no go?What's with the "agreed to pay a decoy $75 for sexual acts..." ?! Why can't they just say undercover cop?Or is decoy a new code word like GFE (girl friend experience)? I only know that from that Soderbergh movie. Not from craigslist.
