remphish1
Anyone else? I remember back in 1992 I bought Toad The Wet Sprockets Walk on the Ocean cassette single and maybe that is what started it..I believe Toad The Wet Sprocket, Gin Blossoms (To Some extent), Better Than Ezra and Del Amitri have very solid back catelogs and put on some fun shows. Anyone have any 90's acts they follow or seen in concert. I have seen Gin Blossoms, Better Than Ezra and Toad at least 5 times live each... My top picks from each include:Toad-Dulcena, CoilGin Blossom- New MiserableBetter Than Ezra-Friction, GardenDel Amitri-Some Other Sucker's Alrighty then glad to get this off my chest
Scalzunfield
Just threw Del Amitri's "Twisted" on my playlist during a long car trip last week. Their entire catalog is really good if you like that kind of sad soul pop rock.
PopTodd
90's nostalgia: It just feels too soon. But then, it has been 20 years since 1990. Damn.Topic at hand: never liked much of the radio pop with the following exceptions:James - LaidBlurOasis Oh, and I saw Goo Goo Dolls. But, it's not like that! I saw them when they were still a punk band, just after Hold Me Up came out. And that one, my friends, is a great, overlooked album!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojMgn8UwUAQ

bobbob1313
I've been known to get the party started by putting on my "Top 100 Rock Songs of the 90's" playlist. That's the music I grew up on. I'll always have a soft spot for "Hey Jealousy"

Oil Can Boyd
I don't know if they count as pop rock but I am still a big fan of Buffalo Tom. I saw them (for the zillionth time) a few weeks ago and they still sound great. They played some new songs and said that they have recorded an album's worth of new material but are not sure when and how they will release it.

Sir Stewart
Nice. "Sick of Myself" is probably in my top ten songs of the 90s.
Oil Can Boyd
Yes!!! I love 100% Fun, Blue Skies and In ReverseNo Girlfriend? That is still my favorite M. Sweet album. For me his stuff wasn't as good without both Robert Quine and Richard Lloyd.
remphish1
No Girlfriend? That is still my favorite M. Sweet album. For me his stuff wasn't as good without both Robert Quine and Richard Lloyd.I like Girlfriend but I was late to the bus with Sweet. Sick of Myself was the first song I ever heard by him so the 90's stuff is what got me going. Still I love I'm Still Waiting, Girlfriend etc but I absolutley adore the 100%, Blue Skies, In Reverse run!
Moss
Our band just played "Hey Jealousy" last night, very badly I might add. I love Mathew Sweet. Been trying to get the band to do Ugly Truth Rock forever.

bleedorange
Any Toadies fans here? They plan on releasing their original follow-up to Rubberneck that was shelved by their label at the time.
Sir Stewart
The Elevator Drops made some excellent glam-pop rock in the 90s.
Maggie
The Elevator Drops made some excellent glam-pop rock in the 90s. The Gin Blossoms were one of my first "favorite" bands. I still play New Miserable Experience every so often.
hardwood floor
Gin Blossoms' last record was really really good - Major Lodge Victory, from I think 2006 ... a real return to form another one will be out this fall great band with a surprisingly large catalogue that, sadly, they don't really explore during their fun but predictable live shows all their solo stuff is ace, too and really really nice guys

GtrPlyr
One of my favorite power pop records of the 90s was the Pooh Sticks "Million Seller." Really great record, too bad it was overlooked by most: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijenqm0wIsE The Pooh Sticks - Let the Good Times Roll Another great guitar pop gem from the 90s was the first record from the Super Friendz. Always loved this song:
