Kenneth Stringfellow.

Looks like there were a huge dozen of fans at recent Ontario shows. Hope my hometown treats him better.

I love Ken in a solo live show! How was it? How was attendance?

Started the day thinking I was going to see Blitzen Trapper tonight but it's not going to happen.  Show is an hour away, babysitter costs too much, blah blah blah.

We need a thread called "Live! Tonight! But I'm Too Old & Tired to Go!"  :ohwell

Carrie, if you start this thread I can definitely contribute. :rolleyes

No Sinner and You Am I

can't wait

Also, was Tim Rogers as adorable as always, as with the rest of YAI?

Kinda pissed I am missing the third straight Bruins game though.

I just (reluctantly) got rid of my ticket.  I'm exhausted from the weekend and didn't think I could take a night of standing, but really because I missed the B's game Saturday, if it goes 7, I will miss the game on Wednesday (seeing Warren Haynes and the Boston Pops) so could not stand to miss another B's v. Habs game.  But for the game I'd rally for Television.  But so it goes.  Have fun, I'm sure it will be great.

I would have to fire my dish provider if I couldn't watch the Stanley Cup playoffs.  Best 2 months in sports for me.

yes.

playoff hockey is the only sport where i'll watch games that don't involve the hometown team (well, NFL to an extent, but not to the same extent).

That is very, very cool. I see he was something of a headliner at New Orleans Jazz Fest recently. He must have a pretty good band playing with him these days?

Fantastic band.  The fiddle player and the guitar/mandolin player were both absolutely fantastic vocalists as well as top notch musicians.  This was a close to a pure bluegrass show (w/ drummer) that I've seen him put on.

I'm about 40 minutes early to technically call it tonight, but going to see Willie Watson on Tuesday night.  He is formerly of Old Crow Medicine Show and recently released his first solo album, produced by David Rawlings.  Should be good.

Should have gone to Television.  B's sucked.

D - the Ken show was astounding. there were maybe 10 people there and my friend got to do the duet of  'Doesn't It Remind You of Something'

Had to skip YAI for some family matters. tant pis. Heard if was a fantastic show of nothing but the hits done flat out. Would have loved to have seen  'How Much is Enough' and 'By My Own Hand' and 'Cathie's Clown' and 'Doug Sahm' and .....

I will be getting Davey's set list supposedly.

Too bad the turnout wasn't better for Ken, but I do love a tiny, intimate show, and he'd be one who'd be magnificent in such a setting. Your lucky friend!

Maybe a recording of the YAI will emerge. Sorry you missed it, but sometimes you've gotta do what you've gotta do...I know how that goes. Davey's setlist will be a sweet little consolation prize. :)
