A Radio Cure
Seems sort of strange to have Whole Love in a different place on the CD than the vinyl. Maybe it works better as a side 3 opener than Capitol City does?
lamradio
All of this talk about track lists and sides and stuff.. Get with the 21st century people. In itunes, there are no sides....
calvino
I haven't bought a record since the early 90s - does this happen often, a different track order on the record/cd?
lost highway
I haven't bought a record since the early 90s - does this happen often, a different track order on the record/cd? On occasion, usually as a product of limited space on a vinyl side, or to create a vinyl buying incentive.
i'm only sleeping
I hope that songs not present in all formats will be (legally) available to buyers of any format via downloading from Wilco web
bleedorange
I've been on a big Wilco kick lately for obvious reasons and I'm anxious for September 27. But listening to all of this old material has made the difference in quality between the older stuff and the last two albums that much starker. Since listening to the stream, I'm intrigued by the new album, but cautiously optimistic. Hopefully it will exceed my expectations.
-seven
I've been on a big Wilco kick lately for obvious reasons and I'm anxious for September 27. But listening to all of this old material has made the difference in quality between the older stuff and the last two albums that much starker. I agree. I was just on vacation and spent a good deal of the drive time listening to old Wilco and felt the same. Another thing that stands out to me is that if you compare this thread http://viachicago.org/topic/46083-one-line/ with this thread http://viachicago.org/topic/46131-best-wilco-lyrics/ it's pretty hard not to notice a difference in the quality of the lyrics as well. The new songs are good, a couple are even great but they don't kick my ass the way the songs on BT, ST, YHF and even AGiB did.
dave41
Bonus tracks from the Deluxe edition are floating around. Thoughts on Speak Into the Rose or Message from Mid-Bar?
