tinnitus photography
So glad that there's an 11PM curfew for the Theatre District which is primarily surrounded by Emerson students in dorm apartments. I didn't pay almost $50 for a Wilco show that was cut short due to a Puritanical time limit. I'm sorry, but eff the Wang. the 11PM curfew really has nothing to do w/ Emerson. other theatres/outside venues have this too (Orpheum, Wilbur, Comcast, Bank of America, etc). Shakespeare In The Alley
Most any venue that isn't a club has 11/11:30 curfews these days. It sucks, but there's not much you can do about it.
opsopcopolis
I'm glad theres a curfew (at least in Boston) because of the lack of late night transportation. If the show went any later than 11:30 theres a good chance I'd have to take a cab all the way back to Waltham
worldrecordplayer
Most any venue that isn't a club has 11/11:30 curfews these days. It sucks, but there's not much you can do about it.What you can do about it is skip the opening act and do "An Evening With"! Which is exactly what Jeff said would never happen again. Too bad. I'll never forget that night in the Orpheum and everyone of those 39 songs, with the living room set change in the middle. Would love to see them go The Evening With route and break the night into 2 sets if they need a break. Seems to have worked for years for lots of touring bands. Anyhow, none of this is to be taken by way of complaint about Wilco or last night. Just about the Puritanical 11:00 curfew.
Cam Jones
I would love that Evening With tour again too... but just think how much of a strain it was on ALL of the to play 39 songs each night. Jesus Christ.
Bart
There's an excellent recording of the Saturday night Solid Sound circulating, you can hear Standing O live there. I can hook you up with the track, or the entire show. Sounds great live to my ears. Wha? Where is it? I love that song, but I need a full show!

Sparky speaks
yeah, the volume needed to be bumped up a little bit. I started out in a box in the back of the orchestra and it was fairly quiet. I ended up in row K though and up there the volume was pretty nice (obviously). I've had issues with the Wang being really quiet before thoughWe were in row J in the Orchestra pretty much right in the middle and it didn't seem to have much punch. I know I'm going to get some flack for this, but if Wilco continues to play One Sunday Morning at all their shows, I've found myself a new bathroom break song. Talk about a monotonous song which brings the excitement of a live concert down. Yeah, it was OK to hear it once to say I've heard it played live, but I can come up with two or three songs I'd rather hear in that twelve minutes of valuable concert time with my favorite "rock" band instead of that repetitive, boring song. How about some Casino Queen or Too Far Apart? I haven't heard those live yet. Let the attacks begin...

Okkervil_
the 11PM curfew really has nothing to do w/ Emerson. other theatres/outside venues have this too (Orpheum, Wilbur, Comcast, Bank of America, etc). Never said it was because of Emerson, the point I was making is that the Wang Center is hardly in what one would call a "residential area"--same goes for the Orpheum, Wilbur, Comcast Center, and BoA Pavilion. I don't think it's all that controversial to say that Boston is pretty ass-backwards when it comes to cutting certain things short due to noise (e.g. bars, public transportation). God forbid they ever extend T service another half hour to 1AM. In my mind it would've been easy enough to start the show thirty minutes earlier and have Wilco go on around 8:45, but hey, I'm just a fan.

I'll grab it tonight. I've been looking there for new stuff, but haven't found any. Probably operator error.

In my mind it would've been easy enough to start the show thirty minutes earlier and have Wilco go on around 8:45, but hey, I'm just a fan. maybe, but i don't know...i busted my ass to fight through Boston traffic, park, and get to the venue in time so we could get a wrist band before 6:15 and then eat a leisurely dinner somewhere w/ our tickets in our pockets. moving this up 45 min would have made that plan untenable, and i didn't feel like waiting in a potentially long will call line, or entering the venue straightaway. i actually do find it funny that people are complaining that a 2 hr show is short. but then again, i am not a jam band fan, and 99% of the bands i see play 100 min or less sets. Probably operator error.I've been looking since he mentioned that it was on its way & nothing so far -- there's probably a lag between torrents available for download & being accessible via search. That's why I was hoping for a direct link (yes, I can be an impatient SOB at times! )
opsopcopolis
^ I'm pretty sure he was talking about the solid sound recording because somebody asked for a recording of Standing O. Not about last night's show yet
u2roolz
Yes. According to BT Solid Sound Night 2 is up there only. Surprised Night 1 isn't listed. Here's Night 1 & Night 2 on the Visible Sound blog.Edited to reflect A-Man's point below: So these 2 shows are available in mp3 format ONLY on this site, but you can download the tracks individually. Analogman
Both nights are out there to be had in FLAC form. Check the BT section of the Via Chicago. As for recent shows - you just have to wait until they appear.

parisisstale
forgot my last highlight of the night: john's 3-foot leaps during monday/outtasite....don't think i've ever seen him that animated with his movements throughout a show also, my intitial thoughts from solid sound were confirmed in a big way last night....pat's huge contribution to the whole of the whole love is undeniable and how great are these new tunes gonna be at a solo show? the lyric/melody combination just wasn't there for much of the last few records i also have both solid sounds if anyone needs....pm Night 1: intense, rockin, stormyNight 2: breezy, singalongs, storm-less

I think he means the Future Age section (not an actual tracker hosted on here) Also, last night is up, thanks to bob100 at etree. http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=548496 I'll put my recording up just for the sake of having two separate sources sometime late next week
